I folded my arms, watching her as she swiped through her phone.
“Here,” she handed me the phone which I collected reluctantly.
I stared at the video playing, fire burning everywhere, blood spilling, cries screaming for help. People running around, finding a safe place to hide.
“What is this?” I asked, rolling my eyes, my brows furrowed.
She slammed her hand on her forehead, hissing painfully.
“Look closer, Ava. What do you see?”
I huffed out, staring at the screen again.
From within the shadows, coming out from the fires, amidst the cries, a figure that I'd never forget stood. It stood tall, heavy breaths coming out from its mouth.
