Forsaken
The bracelet on my wrist felt like an anchor, a tether to a world of secrets and danger.
It was in the stillness of the night, as the world outside slept, that I felt it—a gentle caress on my cheek. It was a soft, barely perceptible touch, but it sent shivers down my spine. I turned, my heart pounding, to find a figure standing at the edge of my bed, cloaked in shadows.
The sense of foreboding intensified, but a strange familiarity washed over me. It was Hayden, the ruler of the mythological Underworld, who had come to visit me once more. I was barely conscious through it all, trapped in a hazy dream-like state.
