My target turned away and retreated, vanishing into the throng of remaining warriors. And then, the four formidable ikons stood before us: a fair-skinned elven woman adorned with intricate tattoos, a one-eyed man in a leather suit, and two colossal figures resembling living stone statues due to their immense size. The four ikons smirked with arrogance. Each flaunted their weapons and abilities with a smugness that radiated overconfidence. The woman, with eyes ablaze in red, her body adorned in tattoos, wielded her double swords with deadly grace. The man with the eye-patch summoned a massive rifle out of thin air, while the two stone-like men gripped colossal swords.

The cut was black leather in color with the white stitched patches which included the gang's name itself in full view as it draped along the chair. The emblem of a vicious howling black wolf with white eyes and snarling teeth bordered around a bright white moon with the name HOWLER MC. written in stitch form around the visual. The bearded man glanced at his cut and continued to make his way toward the brightly lit bathroom as the sun had burst through the small window above the shower and illuminated the entire room causing him to wince from the view once he stepped inside while his eyes adjusted to his newly lit surroundings.

“It’s exactly what you think it is.” He chuckled and held his jacket open, showing the jangly letters and the picture of a chainsaw blade made to look like it was running him through from behind complete with garish red blood stains. “That it is,” he said with an impish smile, “We got a copy of that one in if you want it.”

Why? “This is what it looks like when you hold hands.” Freya reaches over and swipes to the other image. The inside of the gate changes from words to circles with icons inside. I see a lightning bolt, crossed hammers, an old Roman helmet, a trident, and more. I do a quick count. Thirteen circles. Each has a different icon. Caleb reaches out and takes the phone, looking at Emily’s video in awe. I watch his jaw soften. He looks at me and back at the video.

My wounds were stinging badly and I sobbed on the grass where he had left me. I could see he was mad. Really mad and he wanted to vent his anger on some unfortunate person who just happened to be me. He dumped a bag close to my head and I craned my neck to see what he was doing. In the bag, he produced items that made me cringe. A leather whip, a bow and a quiver full of arrows, a gun, a catapult, rope, duct tape and bullets. Don't forget his trusted knife.

Kane POV- “Ambush much? Rana, I told you, this my time with Alsie. You need to respect that.” I was in the bathroom inspecting this beautiful mark that had appeared on my neck, chest, back, and over my shoulder. Four wolves, a crescent moon, eye of Horus, the Sphinx, Great Pyramids, and a bat. The moon and the bat had a light blue outline, the Sphinx, and pyramids were outlined in gold. It was magnificent.

“This is completely new territory for me.” My eyes betray me. They drag over his bare chest, his abs, the way his pants sit low on his hips. And I feel my stomach tighten at the sight of his tattoos — ink and meaning and temptation. A yin-yang with hearts instead of dots and the number thirteen at its center, about the size of a big coin, is on his left side underneath his arm. Curling above it is the Peter Pan lettering — Sniff pixie dust and soar — in a cursive font. And on his bicep — the Reaper logo stamped on like a warning label.

His high cheekbones and straight nose gave him a godlike complexion that were perfectly complemented by broad shoulders, tattooed arms corded in muscle and full lips that were currently pursed in concentration. He was handsome. Unbelievably so but Chloe couldn't work out why she couldn't look away. It wasn't like she hadn't seen attractive looking men before. Werewolves were naturally beautiful but something about this male had Chloe captivated. He was easily the definition of dangerous and perfect even with the scar that split one of his perfect black eyebrows in two.

Waverly glared at his arm, which was covered in numerous tattoos, forming a sleeve, with the Crimson Shadow sigil placed in the centre. He pulled out a sketch pad and then a pack of pencils. "I heard you like drawing and since Sawyer's been so busy with the Lunar Eclipse coming up next month, I thought I'd bring you by some entertainment." He stretched out his hand, showing a tattoo of a wolf, with its tail wrapping around each of his fingers. Waverly slowly met him in the middle and took the book and pencils. "Thanks…" she said curiously. Even though she was weary of the man in front of her, it had felt like forever since she had scratched the surface of a new sheet of paper.

POV EMMA BELLE The Icons did not descend from ships. They manifested directly out of the air—beings of translucent, shifting geometry. They were nine feet tall, their bodies composed of rotating platonic solids made of pure, white-hole light. They didn't have faces, only spinning prisms where a head should be.
