***Ezekiel’s POV*** I sat in my office looking down at the paperwork in front of me. The same paper had been in front of me for the last half hour but I couldn’t bring myself to comprehend what I was reading. My mind wandered more and more lately. In my dreams, I found myself back at the High Council, roaming the corridors of castle. It was a never ending maze and at every turn I could smell him; fresh baked bread and basil.

Ezekiel's composure shattered. He grabbed the back of Elijah's head and slammed it against the chair's wooden frame, splintering it, "You insolent bastard!" His roar shook the walls, "Ohhh, this is gonna be fun. I'm gonna beat the shit out of you till you're nothing more than an insect begging at my feet for mercy," Just then, Ezekiel felt a presence and snapped his head toward the door of the abandoned house. There were only a few people who knew this place - the place he once stayed while communicating with the ancient witch.

Then her eyes closed shut, and sleep took over her. Ezekiel sat there for a very long time, feeling silent and filled with thought. The candlelight in the room flickers over his face, revealing the worry that fell deep into his expression. He looked toward the door where faint footsteps passed by…, the guards changing their duty post.. for the next shift. He didn’t know what to believe anymore. But one thing was clear to him, something had shifted since the night at the ruins forest, something that wasn't earthly or ordinary.

I am Zeiah, I grew up thinking that everybody around me is ordinary and I am like them, but that's what I thought. I remembered everything, from the growl of that notorious creature, the slashing of the swords, and the explosion, all of it was clear. I close my eyes, quivering into the ideas which my mind could only bear. How I wish everything were just a nightmare. I let out a deep breath and found myself in the middle of nowhere.

As such, with its limited numbers, the largest and strongest packs conquered the place, built temples to hide the sacred statues, and made them their territories. Ezekiel, right now, had his eyes fixed on the sacred statue. He held a piece of paper in his right hand as he raised it forward. The paper revealed ancient words as after which, he unhurriedly read the words written on it. After he read the ancient words, his forefinger suddenly revealed a sharp claw as he cut the skin of his wrist open. Blood gushed out of his wound as his blood had been absorbed by the piece of paper until it finally turned bloody red.

Ezekiel's pov The memories hit me like a powerful wolf's blow. They didn't just feel like thoughts, they were loud, screaming voices echoing inside my skull. "Ezekiel, please! Please don't do this!" a voice cried out. It was a voice I had known my whole life, now cracked with pure terror. "Ezekiel, stop! We are your family! We share the same blood!" another man begged. Then, the sound that broke me the most: "Please, Ezekiel! Spare my child! He’s just a baby!"
