Goodbye, Mr. Wrong: The Heiress Returns
My voice came out softer than I intended when I called out, “Max. Milo. Maya,”
Desmond added, “We have news for you.”
The sound of tiny feet pattering across the marble floor filled the room, followed by a chorus of giggles. The triplets came running toward us, their faces bright with curiosity and excitement.
“Okay, Uncle Desmond!” they shouted in unison as they climbed into the dining chairs.
“Mommy over to you,” Desmond said nudging me.
Before I could say a single word, Milo lifted a hand like he was announcing a royal decree. “Don’t call her that. She’s our mommy alone.”
