“Fuck. Are there investment slots?” Nathaniel chuckled quietly, clearly amused, as he guided her deeper into the lab. They stopped at the animal testing section, where rows of glass cages lined the wall. Inside them, laboratory rats lay under observation. Cassie’s smile faded instantly. Their tiny bodies trembled. Legs stiff. Movements limited. The paralysis was unmistakable. Nathaniel’s voice remained calm, precise, almost surgical. “This is where it begins.” A small group of professionals gathered around them, their attention snapping fully to Nathaniel as he made introductions. “This is Robert Gath,” he said. “Head of research.”

It’s dingy and the air feels dry despite having liquids randomly dripping from the clammy ceiling. Slowly, he started hearing screams mixed with guffaws… must be from pleasure of watching someone in pain. Along the sticky walls are cells of deranged people which were once sane. They were tortured until they lost all of their reasonings and just became one of Mr. Hunt’s lab rats—experiments which never worked. Kaiser focused his attention towards the light at the end of the tunnel-like cell, trying not to get distracted by the figures humping and twisting, groaning with lust.

To his right, several light-colored rats crawled around the boxes. Intrigued by the noise he had made when he entered the room, they toddled around their prisons and stood on their back legs to sniff at him with their fine noses. They twitched gently when they noticed the intruder's scent. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a plush rabbit, which was fleeing in panic from the unknown and the loud noises and was just hopping around the corner.
