Chase X Marshall Novels & Stories

I am so excited to explore all the intracacies of second chance mates I alluded to in 'Chase. Do you have any guesses whose story it is?

Avery and I chime in simultaneously, a sense of trepidation immediately creeping in. They nod in affirmation while stowing our bags in the trunk of Alex's new ride—a sleek 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Meteor Grey Mica. Alex had been diligently saving for it for as long as I can remember, and let's just say it outshines my 2012 red Dodge Challenger GT by a long shot.

Dalton’s eyes widened. “Christ, cuz, you bet that kinda money on keepin’ your dick in your pants?” “It ain’t a cash bet. If I can do it, Marshall’s givin’ me a quarter share in this up and comin’ buckin’ bull named Atomic Fireball.” Chase pointed his beer bottle at the guys at the table. “So you all need to be getting some serious ass to make up for my lack of it.” Tell and Dalton high-fived, and Tell said, “We’ve got ya covered.”

The school camera showed the empty front yard—no one obvious—but the angle shifted, panning, and in the fringe of a lamppost two blocks over a dark SUV idled far longer than was casual. “They’re probing,” Marco’s voice came over the encrypted channel. He was tired; I could hear the fatigue under his clipped updates. “Two men, unmarked. One in a jacket, one with a backpack. They keep checking two phones, scanning schedules.” He paused. “License plate partially visible, last three: 4—9—C.”

Outside, Chase happened to pass by, hearing his sister's voic e from inside the council hall. He froze mid-step. "Marriage proposal? Crimson Pack?" he muttered under his breath. "What are you up to, Chloe?"

SLOANE The door slammed open with such force that the reverberation dislodged dust from the ceiling. My whole body flinched. For a moment I feared Xavier had summoned reinforcements that this was the instant everything tumbled deeper into chaos. However I noticed him. Chase. He remained steady in the doorway, his chest heaving in gasps, a firearm held with both hands though his arms shook. His eyes fiercely aflame fixed on Xavier as if blaming him for every injury he bore. His garments were ripped, smeared with blood and fresh marks dirt caking his jaw and bruises shadowing his cheekbone. He appeared worn out, beaten and barely standing.

Alexis was ridiculed online when Chase was not her mate. Yes, I kept up with the gossip. And especially about these girls and the super hot Commanders of the Moonlight Pack who were going to be officially certified Commanders of Selenia in a few months. "Chase and I are together now. He rejected his mate for me. So yeah we're getting married in a few months." Alexis mumbled. Her eyes twinkled with an emotion I couldn't understand. The table grew silent and Marcella's face was a bit troubled. She did not look as relaxed and as content as Alexis was and I wanted to go any length just to please her.

Chase immediately put her down. "Chase Winston, does anyone here know that you are already engaged to the daughter of Mr. West? Does your fiance knows that you are proposing to another woman while you are still engaged to her?" Xavier inquired coldly. Everyone looked stunned at that revelation. Chase looked uncomfortable and embarrassed. "I will convince my father.." he tried to explain. But Xavier cut him off. "You signed a marriage contract with them. Breaking it would cost your family more than you could afford. If I ever find you lingering around her again, I will skin you alive" a threat which was delivered so casually, but still deadly.

Mr Spence pat Chance on the back, before walking out. As he wait there for Kristoff to make his way down, his eyes caught someone but wasn't sure if it really was who he thought. "Ready?" "I'm thinking of running away and just do a shotgun wedding in Vagas." Chance laughed, " let's go." He held Kristoff's hand in his and together they walked down the aisle to Beyoncé's Halo. "We are gathered here today." The pastor begun, but Chance nor Kristoff heard anything, as they happily gaze at each other, lost in their own world.

We sit together in comfortable, contented silence for a while longer, the future stretching ahead uncertain in its specifics but undeniably, fiercely certain in its foundation. My phone buzzes eventually, breaking the peaceful quiet. Dale Harmon, reaching out to Chase's number as well, apparently, given the group text format. Dale: AHL assignment details confirmed. You're headed to Providence, Rivers. Season starts in six weeks. Also heard through the grapevine your girlfriend just picked up a sponsorship deal from a major skating brand.
