Hello and Happy Summer to Everyone!! The sequel to "The Hunt" is called "The Dragon's Treasure" and it is being posted one chapter at a time on the web app here on Good Novel! (The first chapter will post this afternoon - June 14, 2022) You won't be able to find the book on the mobile version for a few months yet (it has to go through approval and I don't want to make it pay to read quite yet as I work through the story development and editing phases).

The life of a hunter is cruel and short…there was never any room for kindness. Taking a deep breath, I launch into the attack. My kicks and punches coming so quickly, I catch a moment of surprise in his eyes and I feel a trill of excitement. Today, ol’ man. I am going to win today. I press forward as he scrambles to block each attack I throw at him; barely holding his ground. He moves away from me and I smile in triumph as I swing with my right fist. His eyes narrow and he dips below my swing, his own punches landing right in the middle of my stomach. I gasp at the pain ballooning through my body as his leg sweeps under my feet and I land hard on my back.

Ramsy boasted. Delta Ramsy mustered little heed to Higgins' pitiful state as the spat to the soon to-be corpse in his wake. Hunters were members of the resistance, who were mostly humans that had their only goal to be liberating their people and domineering the greater mass of carnivorous beast that desired to usurp any attempts they made to establish a system like theirs or breed enough to try. Higgins' life was dangling on a thin thread, his hands laid across the two ends of the baracade by chains anchored to his wrists and a weakened resolve from that death that just insisted on taking its time before truly drawing the life out of him.

The hunters knew that they were getting close. They crept forward, their weapons at the ready, until they caught sight of Tate standing in a clearing, his massive form silhouetted against the moonlit sky. Without hesitation, the hunters opened fire, their silver bullets ripping through the air and striking Tate with deadly force. Tate came to realize at that moment that he had been on a bad path for so long and barely escaped from the hunters. He went back home to his brother, and Marcus gladly allowed him take back his place knowing that he really had changed.

Hunter commands through the speaker with the voice alteration added to the mic to make him sound robotic. Hayley and Felicity are the first to sprint to the centre of the arena the grass is shorter here as they are closer to the screen. If only they knew we were inches away watching their every move, their so close you can almost taste the sweat. I felt a surge of adrenaline that wasn't entirely human. I didn’t spare a second to recover from the jump. I launched myself forward. The remaining brother, Trench Coat, shoved the bleeding woman aside like a ragdoll. He stepped over his twin's twitching corpse, his face twisting into a mask of snarling rage. “Damned hunters!” he roared, his eyes bleeding to black. He lunged for me, fangs bared and dripping with stolen blood.

My stomach dropped. "What?" He nodded. "I hired investigators to find you after you dared to run from me that morning. It took them a week to find you." Something was slamming hard against my rib cage in a really violent way. I knew what it was. My heart. "I found out who you were—Matteo Leone, a twenty three year old bisexual man, living in your father's house like a prisoner." He leaned forward slightly. "I learned everything about you—your urm... useless family, and your situation within hours of funding you."

A strong, slender, ruthless Luna like Chloe was what the pack demanded—not a fat servant who only wasted space and supplies. The violent creak of the door flying open made me step back on pure instinct. Hunter appeared in the doorway wearing nothing but his black combat trousers. His muscular, tanned torso was covered in a thin sheen of sweat, and his blue eyes, which had once looked at me with the warmth of childhood, were now clouded with superiority and disgust. Behind him, Chloe emerged with a feline stride, wearing one of Hunter’s silk shirts that barely covered her slender thighs, looking at me with a sadistic smile of pure triumph.
