She drew a deep, shuddering breath, letting the words anchor her. She pressed her hand firmly to the dais again, feeling the pulse of the fire sync with her heartbeat, bright and unrelenting. “Show me,” she whispered, and the ruins responded, glowing, revealing secrets long buried.
