One was apprehended within seconds. The other reached the south alley and disappeared into the port district's industrial maze before anyone could close the gap. I crossed the warehouse floor. Just then, hurried footsteps and startled cries erupted behind me. My father, my mother, and several members of the Rossi household rushed out of the mansion at once. “Stella!” my mother screamed as she ran forward and dropped to her knees beside her. My father hurried over and crouched down to check her condition. There was a gash on Stella’s forehead, blood running down the side of her face, her skin pale as paper, her whole body trembling as if she might faint at any moment.

I scrambled toward the open door, my chest heaving, every muscle in my body screaming for release. "Cassius!" I shouted, though I knew he wasn't in there anymore. Just the beast. I sprinted into the corridor, not looking back as the sounds of visceral, tearing flesh echoed behind me. The hallway was dark, illuminated only by the faint light coming from the main entrance of the pack house. I could hear shouting, the distinct sound of gunfire, and the screams of men dying. I ran until my lungs felt like they were filled with broken glass. I reached the main floor to see Malakai and Tavian engaging a group of three monsters near the grand staircase.

Fear clawed its way up her spine. He sprinted towards them, his boots pounding the earth. "Run!" The Nurse yelled. Lyra's pulse thundered in her ears. Her legs pumped furiously as she sprinted alongside Nurse. But Oscar's voice halted them."Stop!" The unmistakable click of a gun's safety echoed through the air. The Nurse and Lyra slowed, turning to face Oscar. Oscar's face twisted in disgust. "You'd betray me, you old hag? After everything?" Lyra's voice trembled, she pleaded."Please, Oscar. I want to see Harrison."

Then, there is a shift in the air. The moon begins to ascend into the sky, climbing higher and higher signalling the time is near. The man's smile dropped but he tried hard to pull it back. Chuckling, he replied, “You really don't remember, do you? We had a great night together.” “What's your name?” Antonio asked, settling back on his chair. He waved his hand swiftly in the air, dismissing his bodyguards. The young man sat in front of Antonio, keeping a forced but playful smile on his face. “I'm Alessandro Bianchi.” He replied, his voice resolute. Antonio nodded, his lips conformed into an even thinner line as he drummed with his finger on the table.
