Delivery of Fate

Blake said before returning to his home. “Oh____my____this____is ____delisious. What do they call this again?” Chai Xuanlu asked. “I believe they call it Cho_co_late? Sister Song stated, unsure. “It’s pronounced chocolate, and it’s part of all women in the world’s diet,” Blake said with a smile when he walked into the dining room, seeing Sister Song and Xuanlu sitting and eating a chocolate cake. “Ahh, you’re back, you meanie.” Sister Song proclaimed at Blake with a cute pout.

That could be to my advantage. “Thank you,” I said, taking a seat on a couch. Walter walked carefully towards the couch on the other side of the table and sat. Soon, Renda and Grace were seated on either side of me with steaming cups of coffee and hot chocolate. I glanced at Renda and smirked. “I didn’t know you had a sweet tooth.” She wrinkled her nose, “I… have a weakness.” “Cocoa Madness is the best hot chocolate on the market,” Walter said, his voice taking on a gentle and warm tone. “Special blend. Most don’t know we do more than sell cannabis blends and eatables.”

Thoughtful, action packed, and dripping with feminist enabling leads. Totally unexpected side-characters also step into the light. Ending felt rushed, and change of POV felt like a first-person restriction. Pre-climax was confusing with too many planning details. I loved the women as allies theme.

Great story. There are some heavy chapters to get through so if rape, sex trafficking or abuse are triggers for you then skip this book!!! If they aren't triggers for you then I highly recommend this book. I agree with other comments that the incomplete sentences were annoying.

Vanilla

Vanilla

She glanced down at the bottle once more, just with disappointment as she noted she had only finished half. She came to another halt in her tracks as she held her breath, hoping to dilute the godly awful taste as she gulped as much as she could- resisting a splutter that rose in her throat at the taste. She had diluted the earlier and worse tasting beverage with the likeliness of coca-cola, the glass weighing less and less in her hands as she squeezed her eyes shut and-

Tastes Like Damn Chocolate

Tastes Like Damn Chocolate

"Yes, baby. But I'll be back before you know it. I promise." Pascal's bottom lip jutted out. "But it's Saturday. You're not supposed to work on Saturday." Where had he heard that? Oh. Right. From Nikolai, not ten minutes ago. "I know, sweetheart, but sometimes work needs me even on weekends. That's what being chief secretary means." She brushed his hair back from his forehead. "Tell you what… I'll bring you a Speedy Fudge. Would that make it better?" Pascal's eyes lit up immediately. Speedy Fudge was one of Lancaster Group's most popular chocolate products…a rich, creamy bar with caramel swirls that Pascal absolutely adored.

I reply a little too quickly. The Chocolaterie is heaven in human form black-and-white checkered floors, walnut shelves, copper pots brimming with truffles, trays of handcrafted decadence under glass. Gold, cacao, cream the air smells like sin. Every step we take draws me deeper into its intoxicating pull.

Imperfect Husband

Imperfect Husband

Wilson turned his head, looking at his cousin who had been silent since coming out of Caraline's room. "Do you know Chocowonder brand chocolate, Wilson?" asked Catherine suddenly. "You must be crazy." Wilson shook his head. "Is your sudden silence because of that chocolate?" "I saw that Caraline had a box of Chocowonder brand chocolates," Catherine said, folding her arms across her chest. "Then what does it matter to you? It's just chocolate. You can buy them anytime, anywhere." "You're wrong, Wilson." Catherine snorted in annoyance. "Chocowonder is a famous brand o

"I remembered, when we were kids you told me and I never forgot the day." "What a good memory you have!" "Yes." She replied shyly looking away. He sat down on a mini stool just outside the stable indulging the whole mini chocolate. He was famished, so famished he could eat a horse. Faith was happy to see him enjoying her cake, she had been excited to make it. It had been a good idea to make it. Also it wasn't Thomas day of birth, he wouldn't know that. Slaves hardly minded their dates, if they even knew them. They were counted as ship and it did not matter. They only knew their age when they were being sold and counted from then onwards.

Love the story. Do not change your story because readers might feel offended. Tell the tale as it is. Slavery is a fact and there was rape a daily struggle. But I do believe there was love as well. As I’m a proud mix race women. Born in a Dutch colony, these are the untold stories. Well told!!!

I defined give this book 100...️. Out of all the interesting books (and some not so interesting), this one takes the cake. A few grammatical errors, but at least you understand the actual story nonetheless. I fully recommend it for strong hearted readers. Different plot from the clichés in this app.
