I wandered aimlessly between the rows of shelves, the soft shuffle of my shoes the only sound I could hear. The quiet was nice. It gave me space to breathe, to think. Eventually, I found myself in front of the romance section. The spines of the books were a rainbow of colors, each one promising a different kind of love story. My fingers skimmed across the titles until they stopped on a green book with a particularly beautiful cover. I pulled the book from the shelf, feeling the weight of it in my hands. The cover was soft beneath my fingertips, almost velvety. It was stunning, the kind of book you’d want to display on a shelf just to admire. The title, "BE MINE," was written in elegant gold

"You're really planning to make me do something first before being able to kiss you, huh?" "Of course. Just because you're handsome, you can already get what you want. Alright, let's play already. Each of us will be choosing a book first without looking at its contents. Then, at the count of three, we'll open it to any page, and the one with the most people will be the winner." Unluckily Dad has been summoned for some reason and my brother fell asleep after eating so it was only my mom who accompanied me outside. I looked at the mini bookshelf in front. I scanned the books searching for a perfect one to read. In the end, I choose the thickest book. I had tons of books but this one's different. This is me. "It's okay, sir. Why?" I'm curious. Feeling at a loss as to what to do with myself, I decided to explore the library. Wandering through the currently empty house on my way to the library, I begin to find myself feeling rather lonely. Flicking Kenzie a quick text to see what she is up to, I walk through the door and into the library. Perusing the shelves I see that the majority are classics such as Charles Dickens and Jane Austin. But tucked away in the corner I spy one of my favourite fantasy series. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Curling up in the lone red leather chair I open the first book and begin to read.

I chuckled as the tears continued to fall and the rumble in his chest made me grow comfortable with staying in that position where nothing else mattered. His smile hit me, the blinding light behind it illuminating the lining of the stars in my universe to fall for him. Only intensifying the wanton need I had for him. I knew I should have been upset over blaming myself for thinking I lost his book, but I was glad that this was happening. "Although I loved all his poems . . . there's one that really stood out to me," he said taking the book out of my hands to flip through it. He eventually placed it back into my hands and I'm met with the words THE CHOICE staring back at me.

I drove Dime and me over to the closest Barnes and Noble, “Books, books, books,” Dime sang as we parked “I see we are excited,” I laughed as Dime quickly opened her door “Well, of course,” Dime said. We entered the store and separated so we could look at the books we wanted, I headed to the fiction adventure section while Dime went to the romance section. “Let’s see here,” I whispered to myself as I looked for the books I wanted “Is there anything I can help you with?” a voice asked from behind me

The title alone caught my attention, but the cover was what really drew me in. “I’ll take this one,” I murmured to myself, pulling the book off the shelf. I ran my fingers over the title, intrigued, before flipping through the pages to get a feel for it. Meanwhile, Chloe was on the other side of the bookstore, clutching the books she had chosen. She was a die-hard J.K. Rowling fan, the kind of girl who’d empty her savings just to get the next book in the Harry Potter series.

I said, glaring at him. “You really do enjoy ruining the moment.” “If stating facts is now considered ruining a moment…” I said, and he sighed before nodding at the shelves. “Pick one.” I frowned. “Pick what?” “A book.” I looked up at him, suspicious. “I’m allowed to choose?” “Yes.” He said casually. “I don’t know most of the books that you have here. Do you have any recommendations?” I asked, looking around as I, timidly, ran my fingers over the book covers. He smiled and hummed in response.

I'm gonna choose one to three books only, I can't handle reading multiple books at a time. I walk through the billionaire genre sub-section which is clearly inscribed on the long shelf admiring each book I see. I pick up each of the books the book cover and title attracts me to scan through, for some attempting to scan through the main body to check if there's anything that interests me. At last I end up taking down with me three books, which suit my taste at this particular time. Pride of the Billionaire Bachelor, 1095 Days of Dangerous Temptation and Second Chance for the Billionaire.
