Chosen By The Lycan Prince Mga Nobela at Kwento

For a second, just a second, there is a shimmer under my skin, faint and silver, and then it’s gone so fast I think I imagined it. I’m tired. I’m imagining things. I get up and start walking back. ♦︎ The weeks that follow are the greyest of my life. The pack talks. They always talk, but now they have material. The Lycan King rejected the curse-born at the Mating Ceremony not even a real rejection, they say, because you can only be properly rejected by a mate who considers you worth rejecting, and clearly, I was not. My aunt’s satisfaction is quiet and thorough. She doesn’t say anything outright. She doesn’t have to.

The pressure died immediately. Lucas' eyes lifted with surprise. "You are still standing," he said. I forced myself to grin despite the pain threatening to tear my body apart. "Yeah," I rasped. "Looks like your little king trick wasn't all that impressive after all." He fell silent for a moment. His eyes danced with something dangerous. Something calculating and decisive. Then a slow, wicked smile spread across his face. "The Chosen Lycan blood truly runs through her," he announced to the crowd. "With her, we will take this world under our reign once more."

Yet she carried no mark. "She is taken!" Dante growled in disappointment. "I want her. I want to make her my mate!" My eyes darkened dangerously. I barely acknowledged Luna Beatrice standing nearby, staring at us with visible disappointment. Did she set her sister up to approach me? How dare she? "Lycan Prince, I have already selected two she-wolves—" "I want her. She will take care of me while I am here." The moment I released her, I turned and walked away.

His voice is hard, unyielding, and I feel the weight of his skepticism pressing down on me. “No,” I insist, shaking my head fiercely. “I survived. I was taken and raised in a pack far from here.” I can feel the fire growing within me, the need to prove my truth. In a swift motion, I lift the hem of my tattered shirt, revealing the Lycan mark etched into my skin. “This is my mark, a testament to my lineage. I am Princess Aloria, born of the Lycan blood, just as you are.” The king’s eyes widen as they fall upon the mark, and for a fleeting instant, I see the walls of his skepticism begin to crack. “It is you…” he murmurs, almost to himself, disbelief slowly giving way to reluctant acceptance.

"Yes, I’m here." Ophelia pressed her lips to Ezren’s forehead, whispering promises I couldn’t hear, but felt. Her entire body trembled not with weakness, but with overwhelming love. We stayed like that for a heartbeat too long. Because from behind us a growl. It rumbled through the clearing like an earthquake. A massive Lycan, cloaked in shadow magic, stepped forward. Not a Crescent soldier. No. This one was different twisted, ancient, powerful. His fur rippled with black mist, and his eyes glowed the color of blood.

Emma had been given a gift—chosen by me from among dozens of eligible females—and she'd thrown it away. The news switched to a palace spokesperson, that self-important duke who now presumed to speak for the crown. Christian Lykoudis, the spare prince, the shadow-dwelling schemer who'd never had the courage to lead openly as his brother did. Now he played at kingship while Theo fought for his life. The thought brought a small smile to my lips. At least the blast had accomplished that much—put the mighty Lycan king on his back, hooked to machines, helpless.

Nathan demanded, arms crossed. “Where’s uncle?” Jaden added. I sighed. “He had an emergency so he had to leave first. But let's talk about the trouble your sister is in.” That was enough to make Jaden’s fists tighten. “Did someone hurt her?” I glanced between the two of them. “Sit down.” They hesitated but eventually sat. I knew they wouldn’t like what I was about to say, but they needed to hear it. “The Lycan prince,” I began slowly, watching their expressions darken, “is looking for a girl. A girl with a white wolf tattoo on her thigh.”

I look over to see more wolves coming our way with their alpha leading them. He shifts back once he gets over to us, looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "You're not the Lycan King, who are you?" He asks with a frown. "I'm BJ, the Lycan prince," I say slamming the trunk down. "I'm here looking for a member of your pack for crimes he has committed." "Crimes? What crimes have been committed by a member of my pack?" He asks with a raised eyebrow. "He'll tell you himself." Fred and I get back into the car and drive off heading towards their pack, while the alpha and his warriors run next to the car following us.

I bit out, and immediately regretted the harshness in my tone. The prince didn’t look at me, although I saw the stiffness in his shoulders. “It’s not like that,” he replied. “My father, the Lycan King, is turning sixty soon—which means that the succession battle will be held at his banquet. He will officially retire and my brothers and I are meant to battle for the crown.” “I hardly see what this has to do with me.” “Well maybe if you would let me finish,” Neil retorted, then cleared his throat and lowered his voice. “What I mean to say is that a Lycan prince cannot participate in the succession battle unless he has a female companion in attendance; a future queen.”

Leah's POV "Lucas, I..." I whispered, lowering my head. "Leah, please don't go away. Please come back to me. I will give you everything you want. I will make it right this time. Lucian is a Lycan prince. Do you know what kind of danger you're going to go through to be in the company of a Lycan prince? I'll give you a hint. He rejected his last Luna and killed her by himself..." Lucas said.
