MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE

MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE

Christiana’s point of view As soon as I stepped inside the quaint cafe, the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me. The warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. It was a small but cozy space, with wooden tables and chairs placed close together, encouraging conversations between strangers.

Love and Secrets

Love and Secrets

The moment we stepped inside, I could hear the faint sound of "You should see me in a crown by Billie Eilish." The whole place smelt like coffee beans which totally made sense cause it seemed like this people grinded the beans every minute. We made our way to a counter and the girl that was standing there smiled at us. "Welcome to Kitty's Cafe. What would you like to have today?" She asked beaming with smiles. The smile looks practiced though. I mean, why not? She has to smile every day.

The Billionaire and his PA

The Billionaire and his PA

Cassie POV As I walked through the front door of The Bean House, the tiny bell attached to the door rang out. I was immediately hit by the smell of fresh coffee and newly baked pastries. The café was decorated with varying hues of brown, white, and yellow. The seats in the middle parts of the café were arranged in groups of twos and threes around circular tables. The seats closer to the walls and corners of the café were arranged in booths with the chairs having bright yellow cushioning. Various handing and potted plants littered the café giving it the feeling of a cutesy cottage. The floorboards shone as they had probably been freshly mopped and polished. A chalkboard situated directly oppo

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

“Fine. But if anyone tries to get me to sing ‘Jingle Bell Rock,’ I’m filing an HR complaint.” Marcus fist-pumped. “Yes!” “But I swear,” she added, “if you touch the cocoa machine and break it again—” “That was an accident!” “You burned your name into the side.” “A happy accident.” The outing was set for 8:30, right after closing. By 8:32, everyone was bundled up in winter coats and filing into “Cup & Note,” the quirky café three blocks from BuyMore that doubled as a karaoke bar on Fridays. The lights were dim, the windows fogged, and the interior was decked out in fake snow, pine garlands, and mismatched armchairs.

Belongs To Me

Belongs To Me

That it's just too much. And on top of all that, Christmas was approaching. Everyone was throwing gifts around and we were making special gingerbread and chocolate lattes in the cafe, while we had to keep playing a CD with a selection of Christmas songs from the speakers. Seriously. After three weeks of this, I was already starting to have a slight tic in my eye. And when I occasionally served young ladies who talked excitedly about which iPhone model they were going to get for Christmas and immediately scowled at me because I was fucking scowling at them, I more than once had the urge to slurp that crappy gingerbread latte on their branded winter jackets. Not that I could possibly afford to

The White Wolf’s Sacrifice

The White Wolf’s Sacrifice

We turn around to find a man on his knees, holding a ring, and a female standing nearby, her palm over her mouth, stunned. This wasn’t an uncommon sight. This happens frequently here. This was the magic of this cafe. Bethany and Richard, a werewolf and a vampire, are the cafe's owners. They professed their feelings for each other here and wanted to construct a café where others might do the same. This café is ideal for first dates, proposals, or simply spending time with your loved one. This place symbolises love and compassion. It is for this reason that the cafe is called Expresso. To express your feelings alongside a cup of espresso.

On a whim, we ducked into the little cafe whose sign proudly proclaimed, "World's Best Hot Chocolate" So far, I was inclined to agree with the description. I looked around the cozy space and smiled. The cafe was called Rouge, and the interior consisted of varying shades of red. Red leather booths, red velvet rugs on the floor, and the walls were also painted a lighter shade of the same color. It should have been overwhelming but strangely, it was comforting. "And how is your coffee?" I asked Michael with a teasing grin, "It surely can't be as good as what Isabella and I ordered."

The Hybrid pack

The Hybrid pack

Tara said, “It's a mom and pop coffee house, and they have special homemade treats for dogs. Their grandkids own it now. I invest in their cafe, so they will always be around, everytime I come back. It’s called Mom and Pop’s Cafe. They allow dogs inside, and they have a cute covered patio area next to their building, that we can sit and talk in, and the security won’t stand out.” Tara, Alma and I along with three people from the security team pile into my truck, with the rest of our security team in their vehicles, and we head into Cripple Creek, to the cafe. When we get there, the ten time great-grandkids, hug Tara, give loving pets to Alma, and ask if they can give me a hug too. I gracious

A Deal with the Devil

A Deal with the Devil

Such a fun chapter!! Chapter 11 - Colton Hastings doesn't get jealous. ~~~ Café Day was a small coffee and cupcake shop that sold reasonable yet extremely delicious creamy and unhealthy food. It was exactly what anyone would need on a hot Sunday morning. Starbucks was just a few blocks away from it, still, Café Day was never short of customers. The majority of students preferred Café Day due to its not-so-soaring-the-sky rates. Plus they rarely wrote the names on the cups wrong.

Totally enjoyed this book! Love the bickering of the main leads and the friendships amongst the group. Minor errors but does not affect the general feel of the book. Glad I decided to read this. Keep up the good work! ...
