Ethan ordered shots and told me I needed to start living. “You and Noah are doing this lavender thing? Girl, that is the best plot twist I have heard in a while. You get to be free and rich at the same time.” I laughed and drank the shot. It burned going down, but it felt good. We talked about everything. She stood at the corner, arms folded, smile sharp as a glass ornament. Jace straightened instantly. I stepped back so fast I nearly tripped.
