She placed it carefully into my palm. A crystal no bigger than a fingernail, glowing softly pink. I stared at it. “For me?” She nodded proudly. Then, with one last chiming laugh, she launched herself back into the air and disappeared into the stream of lights dancing above the camp. Another pixie drifted down from the night sky a moment later, this one glowing a bright shade of blue as it fluttered in a lazy circle above us before making a direct path for Rhys. It hovered in front of his face first, studying him boldly, then landed right on his shoulder as if it had every right to be there.

My voice is extremely raspy. "I don't know, I just sort of found you here. I'm sure it's where you parked it last night though." I turn towards the small light voice and see Delilah staring into my eyes. She lifts her head up a smidge and I notice she is wearing her black tank that has the Creations logo on it. Down the hallway, a crowd had formed. I spotted him right away. Adrian. He was wearing a sleek silver-black suit and holding a cigar. The Lyon family members surrounded him. His slicked-back hair, sharp features, and dark eyes gave off a dangerous vibe. He had not changed at all. "Adrian!" I called out. He stopped and looked around sharply.

Chris’s lips hooked up, his eyes flashing with a sinister light, “Since they like crystals so much, we mustn’t disappoint.” “How many do you have?” Chris turned to Hendrick. “How many do you want?” Hendrick flashed a wicked grin. He liked the way his junior brother thought when he was thoroughly angered. “Cover these three in crystals first, along their meridians.” Hendrick nodded and waved his hand; crystals flew out from his spatial storage. He drew a symbol in the air before pushing it towards Night Wing. “Turn around.” He ordered once he was satisfied. Night Wing turned around obediently although he blinked in confusion.

The blue-black star-glass had formed jagged, cathedral-like spikes, branching out like coral. And inside, deep within the semi-translucent shell, was the silhouette of a man.
