I bite my nails and search the room for a weapon, anything to defend myself with, but unfortunately, there is nothing. Fuck! What if this new guy gets hungry and steals all of my food? I would have a hard time ascertaining dominance over this thick bastard—my new roommate must be over seven feet tall, which isn't normal, and he is all sinewy muscles and brawn! Double fuck! From the front seat, Zack had a confused look on his face that shifted to one of disapproval. He then turned his head around just enough to lock eyes with Sarah and gave her a hard stare to warn her. He scolded, "Sarah, no talking to the enemy." Sarah averted her gaze from him and rolled her eyes. She responded sarcastically, "Sure, it's fine to ride in a van full of them, but a friendly conversation isn't optional."

Satisfied, I pulled the envelope closer and flipped it open. Inside was the target list, with a little profile of them each. Most of them are drug runners and drug dealers. The lowest of the low. Tucked under the list was a cruise ticket for a fight tonight. Tonight!? “Are you kidding me?” I complained. “The trip is tonight?” The handler smirked like he’d been waiting for that exact reaction. “Yup, what better time to take people out than during a party when no one’s paying attention?”

Sweat dampened his palms, and his grip on the phone trembled slightly. Joseph’s money wasn’t so easy to earn. He had been leaking Walton Corporation’s internal information to Joseph, yet now he had been unceremoniously kicked out of the company. Swallowing hard, he hesitated for a few seconds before finally answering. "Hello… Mr. Joseph…" Chuck’s voice wavered. On the other end, Joseph’s tone was sharp and impatient. "Chuck, what the hell is going on? I heard you got fired from Walton?" Sweat trickled down Chuck’s forehead. His voice stuttered. "Sir, I… I…"
