Mentioning her age was the only thing I could do to get her to stop telling me how I should be acting, and I seemed to be the only one she let get away with it without feeling her wrath.

Yet something tightened in my chest. Claire, on the other hand, looked like she’d swallowed glass. Her perfectly manicured nails dug into her palms as she watched Grandfather declare Emma the winner. "This is absurd!" she hissed under her breath, though loud enough for me to hear. He held up his hand and motioned for the butler, who came forward carrying a black velvet box. She thought it was her fault but then she found out that they hated her for no just reason. Her younger sister, Chloe would always convert whatever she had. She was called Cinderella at school because everyone knew of how poorly she was treated. She yearned to meet her prince charming.

Few minutes later, Cindy rushes out of the palace. She looks different, different from the Cinderella she had met in the woods. With the blissful expression and the happy aura emitting from this Cindy, it's so obvious that she's really doing well.
