It was like she was excited about something. Stepping into the room, that was when it hit me—like a thunderbolt. Woodsmoke, leather, and cinnamon mixed. I wasn't a fan of cinnamon, but right now I long for it. I scanned the room. All of a sudden, my eyes landed on him—the cinnamon—my mate.

Cami said. As she spoke, the little girl’s eyes opened, and Cami gasped. “What?” I asked moving closer. Her eyes were a gorgeous violet color that seemed to swirl with crystal coloring. Something I had never seen before. “Her eyes are stunning,” I commented, wanting to assure Cami she was perfect. “She is more powerful than I thought,” Cami stated, taking a calming breath.

“Just…I’m sorry. Please may I have one more glass of your fabulous beer.” “And my eyes?” she repeats, leaning over the bar. “What’s wrong with them?" I force myself to look upwards. Of course she has jade eyes. Just like Cesar. She isn’t typically beautiful, like Robyn or Cassandra. But she has a cool fierceness. Her hair is plaited sharply down the centre of her head, brown and blonde streaks of mismatched colour. Her confirmed jade eyes shimmer brightly from her dark olive skin. Full lips but not set in a cute pout or cupid-bow.

She just gazed at me, her eyes piercing and unyielding, as if waiting for me to explain or justify my outburst. It was then that I truly saw her eyes, like two rich, velvety brown pools that seemed to hold a depth of emotion and understanding. They were fringed with thick lashes that added to their allure, and their warmth drew me in like a gentle embrace. Her eyes were like melted chocolate, smooth and inviting, with hints of golden light that danced in their depths. They were eyes that seemed to see right through to my soul, and yet, they held a softness that made me feel like I was gazing into a gentle summer breeze.

I said, "adorable girls with fiery red hair and stunning green eyes." Cassandra chuckled, and a playful glint lit up her eyes as she responded, "Actually, I prefer cute boys with tousled blonde hair and mischievous blue eyes."

I wanted to have a bite to test if it tasted as sweet as it looked. Next, she pulled the two stems of the sunglasses, unveiling a set of dangerously seductive siren eyes. Yes—siren eyes. The irises were a pale shade of green, with a ring of gold surrounding the pupils. *Mio Dio—I've never seen eyes so bewitching in my life. Then she lifted off the cap, letting silky waves of brunette hair fall over her slender shoulders, and combed her fingers through her messy tresses. My heart did a weird dance in my chest. The girl looked like she was around my age, but her eyes gave off the vibe of a vixen that would lure men to their doom.

Those brown eyes pulled me to them like a moth to a flame. I gratefully stated, "Cinnamon tea and if you could add a pinch of grinded ginger and tablespoon of honey, please," my appreciation was evident in my tone. "Good girl," he murmured under his breath. My breath hitched upon the praise chastising myself for my lack of self-control at the action that had a delicate feeling burst within me. The many books I read were truly getting to me with how praises from hot men made feel. _ Nial landed me a mug filled with warm cinnamon tea and the little pinch of ginger that I asked for, present as I took a sip.

“There is the rest of your explanation.” Cillian turned sharply then went still. His eyes widened as our eyes met. He looked at me the way I always dreamed of Candido looking at me, with so much love and passion that I felt a little overwhelmed under his gaze. His eyes were full of hope. The air stilled, stopping dead. The glint of his eyes vanished revealing his true eye color: a warm hazel. For a moment, I felt like we were connected. I felt a bit hot and utterly shaken. I knew him somehow. The problem was that I had never met this man before.

I rub my eyes, and finally get to the living room to see who the other person was. I've never seen this man in my life. He has dark hair, and a beautiful shade of brown eyes. It's not a deep brown, but a creamy chocolate kind of brown. His eyes are on me, and they break from my eyes and take me in fully. I'm quiet and take in a deep breath. I can finally make out what that smell really smelt like. Pine cones. The woods.
