Brothers of Ash and Fire

Brothers of Ash and Fire

Men have to have heroes, but no man can ever be as big as the need, and so a legend grows around a grain of truth, like a pearl.? ―Peter S. Beagle,?The Last Unicorn Damien MacQueen holstered his gun as he reached the old abandoned ruins of the Detroit train station. Many years ago the station had fallen into disrepair, and he had moved the Brotherhood's international headquarters from Boston to Detroit. It was a city that many people had given up on, but for his needs, that made it perfect. A crumbling city with high crime rates tended to draw in supernatural creatures, the sort who would make plays for local power.

AFTERGLOW | Feralis Series No. 1

AFTERGLOW | Feralis Series No. 1

"It's one of the best-selling novels this year. The main characters are assassins and mercenaries, which made the book have a lot of blood and gore, and dark humor. The pacing and plot are great as well as the characters. It has a bit of romance, going from enemies to lovers." "Oh." Now, that caught my attention. "Definitely my type of story." I flipped the book to read its description on the back. "That's actually the last of the Agnis Trilogy." She fetched a couple of books from where I pulled the one on my hand and placed both over it. "First is The City of Flame, next is The Kingdom of Blades, and this, of course, is last." She tapped the books one by one. "Ah, thank you for telling, but

A Crown of Ashes

A Crown of Ashes

Rain smashed into the earth like it wanted to bury the whole damn city, turning the graveyard into a sopping mess of mud and hunched figures clutching black umbrellas. Sienna Calder stood off to the side, her boots sinking into the muck, her old jacket—splattered with paint from a dozen late-night rants—sticking out like a middle finger among the somber suits. She wasn’t here to weep. She’d come to see the bastard in the ground for herself.

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE EX-HUSBAND CHASED ME BACK

Her eyes, a pale, almost colorless grey, seemed to look through me, past the city, into some bleak future only she could see. “I am Lyra,” she said, her voice carrying without needing to shout, a dry, rustling sound like dead leaves. “We are the Ashes. The cleansed.” Jeff stepped forward, his hand resting on the non-lethal pulse pistol at his hip. “This city is under our protection. State your business.” Lyra’s thin lips curved into that terrible smile. “Your protection is an illusion. Your garden is a weed, choking what little life remains in this world. You offer a dream, but you have only built a prettier cage.”

BOUND TO THE BLOOD KING

BOUND TO THE BLOOD KING

But beneath the ruins, someone always watched. Far above the city, Ash perched on a cliff, overlooking Vienna. Her copper-gold eyes caught the flames, reflecting devastation as if it were a mirror of her own ascent. Her crown, dented and blackened, still rested on her head. Behind her, the remnants of her army stirred silently, ghosts of a fallen empire. She had survived the twin infernos not unscathed, but alive. Every sinew a testament to fire and willpower. “Mother,” Ash murmured, voice soft yet filled with danger. “The game begins.”

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

The he changed trajectories and flew towards the city known as Asher City. Asher City was a top class city and home to some of the richest people in the world. Nobles were abundant in the city, and a few Elementals were mixed amongst them. “This place is still as lively as ever,” Mane smiled as he gradually approached the gate. His ears could pick up the sound of cheering and jubilation from within the city. This surprised Mane a bit; for he had assumed that the city would be quiet at this time of the year. It was a strange sight. The city was still under construction – no doubt as a result of his carelessness – but its damages didn’t seem to be as severe as the damages the cities belonging

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

Ashes of Longing

Ashes of Longing

"I could see it in your eyes that you were desperate to find the real killer." "Thank you, Detective Taylor." One month later, Aidan was executed. He died in prison. I submitted my resignation to Ravenshire State Medical Center. Then I returned to Ashford Hollow, held a funeral for Aidan, and buried his ashes. After I went back to Ravenshire, I threw everything in my house that belonged to my mother into the trash. Once everything was cleared out, I sold the house. Then I left the country and began a new life. The following spring, I received an email from Detective Taylor. Attached was a letter my mother had written in prison. Her handwriting was neater than I expected.

Bloodied Ashes

Bloodied Ashes

As if she had already chosen the world she wanted to live in. I rose. My knees left prints in the mud, half filled by the river’s edge. When I stood, the cold air pulled me back into myself. The moon trembled across the surface, broken by current. The ash began to move downstream, slow and gleaming, as if the river itself was carrying the dead toward whatever waited for them. I turned away and followed the sound of fire rising in the distance. Kael (POV) The ash came first.

Ashes and Bloodlines

Ashes and Bloodlines

“Where, or what? Which one would you like to get now? Or will it be both? You decide.” Julianne knew what he was talking about. He was asking if she wanted to get the book now or get answers to the questions she had. And if she wanted both, she would have to visit the boy’s dormitory. “What is he talking about?” Marianne asked her. Cassian tilted his head to the side and said to Marianne, “So you are Ash’s new friend.” Julianne couldn’t think straight at the moment, especially when Maximus was looking at her like he knew something about her. And one thing she knows is that it was one of the two that gave her friend the bite marks. And yet, she had to help Marianne out.

Ashes of Six

Ashes of Six

I forced myself to let my mind wander over what she’d said, let it circle over in my head. If what she said were true, if dragons could have more than one mate, then maybe this disaster I found myself in wasn’t an accident at all. Maybe it was in my blood. But the other half of Ashleigh’s story, the half about fire consuming everything, settled like a stone in my stomach. She had been right. Restlessness leaked into magic. And mine was already too close to the edge.
