He had spent his whole life being the target, and he had finally decided to become the hunter. He squeezed Lily’s hand, his grip firm, grounded, and absolute. "The war begins today," he whispered, the morning light catching the cold fire in his eyes. "Let them come," Lily replied, her gaze just as sharp, just as steady. And as the city began to burn around them, they stepped into the flames, a pair of nobodies who were about to show the world that when you take everything from a man who has nothing left to lose, you don't just create an enemy.

The moon was rising over the burning city. It was a blood moon. "We rest tonight," I commanded. "At dawn, we move." *** Dawn broke grey and brutal. The snow had started falling in the night. It covered the burning city in a blanket of white, hiding the scars but not the heat.

Their skin was melted with fire, as their flesh was severely burnt. A tear escapes my eye as I saw what our city has become. The mighty Sophia Flammas of Pyrkagia is now crying. Helpless. I feel useless to be the next in line protector. How can I protect my city, if I can't even control the fire consuming it? I was still sobbing when someone wraps her arms around me. She pats my back as she comforts me. I raise my head to meet her gaze, and she suddenly wipes off my tears using her thumb.

Rose POV I walked into the dining room very moody, maybe my period was coming, that thing come without any notice but then I noticed my mark is burning, I kept rubbing it to get the burns away but it was getting worst and driving me crazy "are you okay" my mother asked me with concerned look on her face "I don't know, my mark is burning and my wolf is not okay" the pain is getting worse and my wolf is weeping in my head "her mate is trying mark someone else, his mark on hers is responding to it" my father who was just coming out said seeing me and rushing t my side to support me

My body becomes enveloped in a burst of flames, and the fire spreads from my skin and causes an expulsion as soon as it got close to the gas tank across the room. THE END.
