Unforgiving. Like she was looking at something vile crawling across the ground. “She’s not one of us.” Alpha Cian’s voice broke the silence. Sharp, heavy, and final. “She doesn’t belong to this pack.” He turned toward Maddox, her father. “And as Beta, it is your duty to protect the pack.” Maddox didn’t hesitate. His voice was firm, echoing across the woods. “Yes, Alpha. I love my pack… and I’ll do anything to keep it safe.”

We all looked at him and he shrugged his shoulders, “What? Don't you all want that too?” The only reason I was not making everybody panic along with me was that I could still feel my mate bond that felt like a weak pulse...but it was still there. ‘Hang in there, sweetheart. I am coming’ I thought in my head and desperately plead to the Moon Goddess to watch over her until I found her.
