Three brightly burning braziers cast an iridescent glow around, sometimes burning yellow, red, blue… changing colors like a rainbow, and burning low one second while blazing hard the next.

A warm, gentle mist rose from the porcelain bowls as the faint sound of the rain continued to drum softly against the glass outside. This time, I could hear it all with absolute, perfect clarity.
