How about the tale of the adventurous teddy bear?"

She's staring at me with an interest I've not felt from her before and it's unnerving how it makes me feel like she can see my secrets as though they're written on my skin. She says nothing though, just quietly listens to Kian's stories, the same ones he's been repeating since he got home, although they seem to be getting more exaggerated with each account and by the time we head to bed, I'm pretty sure his new team are unbeatable world champions and someone called Charlie is King of all land and sea. I swallowed hard. “What are you doing out here?” “I should ask you the same,” he said and his tone was sharp, but I saw the way his throat moved when he swallowed, the way his chest rose too fast and he felt it too. My wolf lunged again. “Touch him. Hold him. He is ours.”
