The voice's reply sent a chill down my spine, "If you don't stay away from Cody, he will face dangers." Before I could respond, the darkness transformed into blinding light, forcing me to shut my eyes tightly. When I opened them, I was confronted by a horrifying sight: Cody, his chest brutally stabbed, blood pooling around him, and his voice barely a whisper as he uttered my name. "Rain!" he gasped, reaching out for me. My heart raced as I tried to reach him, but with a gasp, I was pulled from the nightmare, my eyes fluttering open. Cody's hand was on my chest, and I immediately turned to him.

I turned the light back on. The scream that tore from my lungs wasn't human. The attic was packed. Hundreds of them. Not just my collection, but things that had crawled out from the eaves, from the crawlspaces, all wearing the faces of dolls I had never seen. They were all staring at the light, their pupils shrinking in unison, a sea of black dots vanishing into porcelain voids. They didn't retreat this time. They flinched, but they kept coming. "Don't look," a voice whispered from directly behind my ear. It sounded like Lady Genevieve. "It hurts to look."

They didn't smell as good as an A+ but they will do for now. Two humans, they were sucking each other's faces, oblivious to the danger lurking around them. Claire let out an animalistic snarl as she flew to their back. The humans, finally noticing a presence behind them, turned around and let out a loud scream. The sound was like music to her ears, she liked seeing how terrified they were because of her. “W-what - who are you?” The boy asked, he looked no older than 19. He stared wide eyed at her black eyes and elongated fangs, he refused to believe his eyes. Were vampires real?? He thought to himself.
