Take My Heart

Take My Heart

"Usually when I'm having a hard time getting inspiration, I'll listen to music." The masculine voice startled Deen from her reverie. She looked up and immediately stared at the handsome figure who so dominated the room, with all black clothes and a mysterious classic face. Deen frowned, looked behind her. There were no other people nearby, so it was true that this man was greeting her. She doesn't know this man, how can this man know that she is writing? "Writers usually come to this cafe at night, fill every corner and try to find inspiration." The man smiled. "I'm sorry for being rude to just greet you." He held out his hand. "Hello, I own this cafe, my name is Jeff."

Chaos 'N Burdens

Chaos 'N Burdens

I sighed and just nodded because I'm too lazy to speak. We went to a coffee shop— the Early Hail Coffee Shop. I always went her everytime I feel like drinking coffee. As always most of the people here in the coffee shop are looking at us — should I say me? “1 espresso” I said. “1 latté, please”

The Orphan's Goddess

The Orphan's Goddess

I would love to see what’s on the menu of your favorite café.” You have no idea Chris. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to know how other cafés work and what’s on their menu, with that I can innovate something new in my very own café. Aside from that, I think this place is the perfect meeting place for me and Ronald. It is quite hidden and there aren’t so much people around. With a smiling face Chris said, “What are we waiting for? Let’s go in!” I nodded with such excitement “Oh hell yeah! I am also starving, you know.” We both laughed while entering the café. The ambiance of the café is truly homey. It actually didn’t look like a café at all, it was more of a home. Their tables and c

Coffee with you in the Morning

Coffee with you in the Morning

Around here I doubt that someone is coming to rob us, but it is better to be safe. He lets go of me and closes the door when I finish coming in. "Let's go have coffee." I think we have a lot to talk about. I put an arm around her shoulders. "Maybe it's a little late for coffee." How about a water chocolate? —It refers to liquid chocolate, which is almost a national anthem. It is nothing more than a chocolate with sugar, a pinch of salt, more water than chocolate tables and perhaps a cinnamon stick. It is the breakfast of the poor, as some call it. I call it delight.

I don't belong to you CEO

I don't belong to you CEO

The coffee made there weirdly reduced his stress. Reading a newspaper, he waited for his order. The beautiful designs which he often sees on the coffee mug disappeared, making his day further dull. The coffee's smell was also different from his usual one. "Where is the design on my coffee?" He scowled like a little boy at the waitress who brought him the beverage. The young girl shivered in her legs at the harsh tone of the CEO. Their tiny cafe on the footpath beside the street was opposite the multinational firm. She may possibly lose her job because ninety percent of their customers came from the Pfizer group of industries.

THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT: MY BILLIONAIRE EX WANTS ME BACK

THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT: MY BILLIONAIRE EX WANTS ME BACK

“I appreciate it.” His eyes light up in surprise. “No problem! And, um… thank you for the tip.” I glance down and see that I’ve left a generous tip in his jar, and I don’t regret it. He’s doing his best, and I like to encourage that. I head to my favorite spot by the window, setting up my laptop. The café’s Wi-Fi connects immediately, and I get to work. The world outside the window seems to slow down as I lose myself in my writing, my thoughts flowing like a river. The cappuccino warms my hands, and the muffin is just the right balance of sweet and soft.

Begin Again

Begin Again

She could see right through her; she's trying to bribe her way into changing her mind. She wouldn't fall for it. "Why did you ask me here?" Eden asked as she took in the rustic, Scandi decor. But it was the music that gave the place its charming ambience. They'd played two of her favourite indie, folksy songs since she sat down. Rise Coffee Shop was her vibe. She could see herself going broke over their chai lattes while she worked on her book, loosely based on her son's fascination with the moon. Since her freelance work was slow, she'd decided to try her hand at writing.

Almost one of the best. Hence, totally agreed to one of the reviewers chapters leading to the end of the novel less interesting perhaps too much effort in making some catastrophe to the story to put some twist. could have made more effort in making the end not to subtle or too obvious.

Val Sims is one of my favorites. Begin Again is the first of her novels that I read and I loved it so much, I had to read all her other works and I love them also. I hope she continues to write because she tells a good story and her characters are believable.

"It's okay I get that a lot but as an aspiring writer, I need to store energy as much as I can. Thinking about plots, scenes and characters can really be draining." His mouth formed an ‘o’ shape amazed by what he just heard. Though he quickly gains his composure back. His normal confident but less arrogant side this time. Which was actually a first. "I believe I wasn't able to introduce myself properly. I'm Nicolas but you can call me Cole. Nice to meet you again Liz." Then he flashed that boy next door smile, he didn't know he had. Few hours had passed and the rain finally stopped. It felt like time went too fast it's already thirty minutes past ten. Thankfully it was a twenty-four hour co
