A voice came from behind the two. Gael and Leonard turned around in unison and they were both shocked at the sight of Ashton. Ashton was walking over with a woman and the two were holding hands. The woman had fair skin, she was slender with a narrow waist and her legs were long. She looked beautiful as her long hair danced lazily in the wind. Ashton was as dashing as always but his face was a little pale. Gael's mouth was wide open after seeing his grandson. Leonard on the other hand had his eyes fixed on Maya as his eyes flashed with a mysterious light. No one could tell what he was thinking about or what was so interesting about Maya.

Dylan spoke as his last words fainted away, Lauren grabbed his keys, he wanted to dart out but then he kissed Leah. "You should go home," Lauren said, she looked at him, she was expecting him to give her money but Lauren didn't, he was cutting some allowance from her, so she didn't have the cash to spend. Bittered and frustrated, I waited until morning but heard nothing from Chris. I took a bath. Thankfully, I had some clothes in the room, so I picked out a yellow dress and put it on.

She huffed and decided to go back home, but before that, she wanted to tease someone. She leaned against her car at the side of the road on the bridge, looking at the river. She smiled naughtily and called Egon. Egon raised his eyebrows when he saw her name on the screen. He was a few meters away from her. Watching her from the car. He picked up the phone and placed it on his chest, leaning back in his seat lazily. "Mannerless!" He smiled while keeping his voice rough. Emerald smiled naughtily. "Learning manners from a mafia king would be fun... Do you coach?"

He said. Laurel blinked, surprised by the warmth behind his words. Something in his tone wrapped around her like a blanket on a cold night, unexpected, comforting. That brought the first genuine laugh from her, light and unguarded. “She is… something else.” She mumbled. Asher leaned back, the corner of his mouth twitching into a grin. “Yeah,” he said, with a fond shake of his head. “She is.” “She’s already claimed Kael as her own,” he added with a smirk, as if the memory amused him.

Asher turned to us,raising his brows. He seemed to have seen a ghost when his gaze landed on us. “Luther, man!” He exclaimed, stepping closer. Luther released my hands and reached out for a handshake. They shook hands and Asher acted like I wasn't in existence. “What’s up, dude? Why are you here this early morning?” “We need to speak with you, right Joanna?” Luther retorted with a question. “Yes,” I answered, trying to keep my voice steady. Asher stared at me for a moment, his expression unreadable..He took off his eyes. I couldn't really say what he had in mind.

“How is Lauren?” “She’s okay.” It’s too early to be relieved. “Can I speak with her?” “Sure.” I can hear shuffling and voices in the background. “Lucas.” She calls, the excitement in her voice evident. “Lauren.” I sigh in relief. “Are you okay?” “Yeah, I’m okay.” Thank goodness. There is a few seconds of comfortable silence before she speaks again. “You know...you don’t have to worry about me, Lukes. I’m fine and Asher here takes good care of me.”

The scolding and the sharp slap of words came together. “You…” Liz stared in surprise at Asher, who pushed through the crowd, holding a paper cup of coffee and carrying a backpack. “Were they the ones barking all this time?” Asher casually pointed at Lana and Laura. Liz’s two “friends” were shocked and stared at Asher. His appearance was unexpected, as was his handsome face. Asher tied his slightly long hair back, pulling away the strands that usually covered part of his face, revealing his features perfectly—and they were perfect. His appearance was casual, wearing a denim jacket and a white T-shirt, but still flawless, supported entirely by his rugged, masculine Italian looks.
