Cody replied to me in a daze. “Hazel will be okay. You heard, Dr. Williams.” I comforted him in a stiff voice. “I know, brother. I know. It…. It’s just th… that she almost got killed today.” He mumbled in the same state. I stiffened and grimaced darkly. “Hunter and Oscar are investigating.
