TWO ALPHAS AT WAR
I felt it, a sharp, burning pain stabbed through my spine like a blade of fire.
“Ahh!” I cried out, stumbling against the wall as my knees buckled beneath me. It was happening again.
The shift. It was uninvited and uncontrolled. So painful and life threatening.
My bones cracked loudly, very violently. My fingers twisted, claws pushing out from under my skin. My back arched as the pain intensified, each nerve in my body screaming in protest. It felt like someone was tearing me apart from the inside, smashing my bones with a hammer and stitching me back altogether; all wrong.
