That night, I tried to sleep, but I kept having strange dreams. In my dreams, I was walking through a dark forest. The trees were dead and twisted, and there was no sound except for my footsteps on the ground. I was looking for something, but I couldn't remember what. Then I heard a baby crying somewhere in the distance. "My baby!" I said in the dream, and started running toward the sound. But no matter how fast I ran, the crying seemed to get further and further away. "Where are you?" I called out. "Mommy is coming!"

Brayden smiled, folding his arms behind his head, thinking about his bride. Jada had a dream that she was wearing her wedding gown and was walking in the garden by the mansion. She dreamed that two snakes came to her feet and wrapped around her legs. She dreamed that the one climbed up and wrapped around her throat and tried to choke her, and the other one wrapped around her legs. Then she dreamed she delivered a baby, and the one snake left her, but went after the baby and wrapped it up and carried it away so she could not get to it. In her dream, she was on the ground trying to reach her baby, but the one snake had her legs bound while the other one was wrapped around her baby.

The sun rose once again, and Jared and Emma continued on their journey, ready to face whatever lay ahead. As they continued on their journey, Kaida couldn't help but wonder about the strange dreams she had been having lately. The contrast of his calloused palms on my sensitive skin made me cry out. “You've been dreaming about this?” he asked, pulling my shin up to meet his eyes. “Yes,” I gasped as his thumb circled my nipple. “What did you dream? Tell me.” “I dreamed... you'd suck them. Hard. That you'd bite them a little. That you'd make me cry out.” My tongue kept spilling every dirty fantasy I’d harbored. “That you'd then push me down, rip my robe off and just.. look at me. Look at all of me before you.. before you…”

throw him away. Another sleepless night interrupted by horrible dreams. This dream, I'm running away from my coven this time and into the woods. There's a black loop hole or a black portal that is alluring to me. I'm trying my hardest to get to it shockingly, but I keep falling into traps that my coven planted. It was a frightening dream.

Elara’s POV~ I didn't sleep well that night. The cave was cold, and each shadow on the walls seemed as though it had jumped to life while I was asleep. I struggled and squirmed on the unforgiving ground, my cloak covered snuggly over me. And whenever I closed my eyes, I saw the baby in my dreams reaching up to me and then sliding away. By the time I finally fell into something resembling sleep, it was shallow, fitful, and accompanied by whispers I couldn’t quite understand.
