Creepy Books Novels & Stories

Here, in the dim light, I saw a row of old, leather-bound books that looked like they hadn't been touched in centuries. My heart raced as I reached for the first book, feeling its weight in my hands. I flipped open the cover, my eyes widening as I read the title: "The Secrets of the Night: A Guide to the Mystical Creatures of the Dark." With a gasp, I realized that I had found exactly what I had been looking for. I spent the next few hours devouring the contents of the book, her eyes darting across the pages as she absorbed every detail. It was like a veil had been lifted from her eyes, and she was seeing the world in a whole new way.

Hunger felt trivial compared to what I needed to learn. The library greeted me with that same sacred stillness, tall shelves, dim morning light, the smell of age and ink. I made my way to the far aisles, where the older tomes were kept. My fingers moved with purpose now, tracing spines like they were veins leading to a heart I needed to find. I wanted books that went beyond psychology and mysticism, ones that whispered about power, not philosophy. And I found them. Tattered books bound in scales instead of leather. Pages that looked like they had once been soaked in blood. Symbols I couldn’t read but instinctively feared.

Browsing for books casually, one of the books caught my eyes. It was titled “The ancient Realms” I took the book from the shelf and I opened it, I was surprised by its contents. It's a book about ancient creatures like that, Vampires, werewolves, goblins and other creatures and their domain. “Nice choice of books,” I was startled by the voice, with the book almost falling from my hands. I turned around to look at the owner of the voice, I saw a woman at a distance cleaning a crystal marble and smiling.

Seeing titles like 'Minerals and Gemstones' and 'Animals of the Sahara', I knew I was in the science section. I had to search three more sections: languages, music, and mathematics, before I finally found the section that housed the books on the supernatural. At first, all the books I see are about werewolves. Walking further down the row, the topics change from werewolves to vampires to witches. At the very end of the row, in a small section, nearly invisible unless you are looking for it, stand the books about lycans. I decide to start with trying to find what ingredients may have been used in the sedative Clay gave me.

I have no idea. The books were old, some pages are rotten and smell like mushrooms in a wet forest. I smiled when I realized that these books were precious. And they were all about my kind, the Helsings. For hours, all I did was read and get drowned in these pile of books. I have never been flooded with knowledge unlike before. The more I got absorbed into the pages, the more this hatred towards the corrupted vampires grew. It was eye-opening. Written on the page was,

Kate said looking at me suspiciously like I have committed a sin or something. “Huh? I read books like this, don't I?" “No you don't," She said and that wasn’t a lie but I couldn't tell her the main reason I decided to start reading supernatural books. She would say I am going crazy. “Well there is always a first time for everything and I think I will continue reading books like this because they are damn interesting," I said and Kate stared at me for a while. ”Well it's your choice, just don't start telling me creepy stories about werewolves and vampires nightmares unless I will burn all damn books." She said and I rolled my eyes slightly.

" I don't get it, what's special about this library and these books?" " You can find anything you want about werewolves, witches, and vampires. Also, they're written by supernatural creatures. Meaning, every piece of information here is a correct one." " Can I find something about hybrids?" I asked him, and with a wink on his face, he answered. " Who knows? Perhaps, or you might also found something that would lead you a step closer to who you are." As I was about to ask him something else, he spoke perverting me from adding any other world.

I sat on small wooden stool that was present inside, since Draco was not back yet , I decided to go though my bag, I pulled out all four books that was written by my grandmother on Dark Creatures, Spells, poison and lastly DRAGONS, each of this book included all detail information on spell, method, about ghost, warewolf, sorceress , way to tackle them and many more things, tree books included every detail on other supernatural things while one entire book was dedicated to Dragon. ’, I thought and rolled my eyes. . “Fine.”, Dada finally agreed after a lot of persuasion from me. . . Once I reached the library, I started looking for the book having details of all kinds of creatures in the world. And thankfully, my research ended after half an hour. This is a magical book that gets updated automatically along with time, just as Wikipedia in g****e terms. I quickly read all the pages of those creatures about whom I already knew like Nephilim, Demon, Angels, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Dragons, and Vampires.

, someone announced on the stage which made me concentrate back to stage to see that my friend was about to start her performance and as soon as she hit the first cord of her vocals, all sort of negative energy just vanished atleast that is what I felt and also by this time the entire book store was mesmerized by her soulful voice and the light music was complementing it the best way possible but now all I could think about was all the possible assumptions which could give me any logical reason for the extremely weird energy of that place. At the end of the performance I moved towards my right to nearest book shelf which was of fiction category and it has always been my favourite genre as i
