Rick gasped, disbelieving what he was seeing. “Blood,” Penny spoke in a raspy tone as she looked up at him; her normally gorgeous blue eyes were bloodshot and filled with hatred. “I need more blood.” “You’re going through a withdrawal. Loud music could be heard from my place of work, as it was just a stone’s throw from where we stood. And it appeared that we were the only ones on the street. “Leave me alone!” I heard Penny scream aloud as one of the werewolves, who seem to look like a rogue, gagged Penny by the neck, scrutinizing her whole body.

Piercing wails echoed from every direction, deepening the chill. The corridor was narrow and winding, its walls covered in distorted murals, with tattered drapes hanging loose. A cold draft seeped from somewhere unseen, carrying a stale smell. "Bruce, this place… feels so creepy." Claudia's voice trembled, and she leaned toward him. Bruce did not respond. His steps never slowed, his gaze fixed ahead. He kept enough distance between them for another person to stand. Suddenly, at the corner ahead, a "zombie" in pale-white clothing, long hair covering its face, lurched forward with stiff movements. It let out a low growl and lunged straight at them.

RAINA'S POV- “When your Grandma said she would keep my snow globe safe, she really wasn't kidding,” I muttered with sarcasm as I walked down the dark passageway. Our feet thudded on baked black mud with its walls decorated with brown-black, twining, trunky vines. Leading with a torch in her hand, Pennelope chuckled and then uttered with dramatic emphasis, “Grams never—and I mean never joke around.” “Your home is creepy as hell,” I swear the big vines moved sometimes.

Emma willed her legs to move as she felt around for a wall. She hadn’t been able to see much of anything when she had first entered the crypt, and now that she was sealed in, she was surrounded by a stygian darkness. She bumped into something solid and stone-like, and immediately crouched down on the floor in a fetal position. Her body shook, her lips trembled and her mind conjured creepy-crawlies, fantastic monsters, and demons of all shapes and sizes. And they came, one and all in full force, to crawl over her skin, to nip and paw at her, and to literally pull her to pieces.

The man in the suit stood there with a cold smile, holding the digital pen like a knife. My legs were fading. I could see the teenager’s messy bedroom floor through my shins.
