His Ex-wife Is An Heiress

His Ex-wife Is An Heiress

So, instead, she bit down on her bottom lip, her hand clutching tightly onto her night gown, her knuckles white. Elvis ignored her distress and carried on. “My men would be gone the moment Cyanide isn’t found. Thought, I assume you’re not stupid enough to leave the evidence lying around after committing a crime.” “I’ve committed no crime.” She hissed, her eyes red from holding in tears and her nose, slightly red from crying. “Attempted murder of a Crawford is a crime, Mrs. Crawford.” Christina gritted her teeth, the sound causing the old man to raise his brows.

The Demon Alpha’s Kryptonite

The Demon Alpha’s Kryptonite

His face was pale and etched with worry. "W-what's going on?" I breathed shakily. "Three murders happened tonight," Hawke panted. My husband froze, his fork halfway to his mouth. "What? Where? Downtown?" Roman asked, and his gamma shook his head, rubbing his forehead. "The town border." Roman quietly lowered his cutlery, and I swallowed hard. "Close to which pack?" "Red grove," Hawke responded, and an unreadable expression crossed my husband's face. "Any unusual reports yet?"

Tempting The Spitfire (Temptation Series Book 6)

asked a worried Grandpa Ben. “Fine. Can you reach the Cleveland Clinic in Downtown Cleveland Warehouse District right away? We’ll meet you there.” They left the police station and drove over to the hospital. Lillian called Caleb, and he too joined them soon. Officer Stewart joined them after ten minutes and led them to the morgue. Grandpa Ben removed the cover from the battered body the officer had mentioned. Lillian gasped with horror since it was no doubt Uncle Sylvester’s body! He had been brutally murdered.

Beyond the Divorce

Beyond the Divorce

Ava obeyed and quickly ran to Molly’s room in the back. Then Arnold disdainfully continued the previous topic, "Hazelyn strangled her to death." "What?" I asked, "Was it revealed during interrogation?" "Yes! Hazelyn confessed it herself. She also murdered a male doctor, who was one of the participants in the murder of Helen Keller and the old lady of the Keller family. The whole idea of killing the Keller family came from this male doctor!" Arnold and I walked to the sofa together, and Jim quickly brought over two cups of water.

It was a good book. A lot of the mixup/changes in names/locations was very annoying. Wish we would have gotten a little more out of the ending of one of the main villains. Chapters also needed to be longer; a lot of money spent on this book for 5-6 pages per chapter.

I loved this book. I liked all the characters and their interactions. Loved Atlas & Chloe together. Parts of the book are very suspenseful and made it hard to put down. Liked that she was a mom and a business owner. She was strong and intelligent. Hated that the book was over. Highly recommend.

Reborn as a human

Reborn as a human

I stroked my chin and suddenly recalled the information I gathered on the day she was killed. " uhhhmm.. I remember going through her kitchen, and this wine cup was indeed on the table. There was another one in the cupboard that was obviously used because it was still wet from the washing. But the other cup on the table was used to drink orange juice, not whiskey. Her murderer is a very particular and careful person. It won't be so easy, so catch him." Xavier sank into his chair with his hand on his forehead. This was turning out to be the most complicated case I've handled in a while.

Bad Moon On The Rise

Bad Moon On The Rise

But through it all, he somehow managed to keep a smile on his face. While he fiddled with the hose, she took a quick mental inventory of what they knew so far. On Saturday night between 11:29 and 11:42 p.m., someone dressed in Sterling’s sweatshirt and fishing wadders had possibly used a meat hook from the freezer in the bar to slice open Clyde Morten’s throat. It had essentially exsanguinated him. While Sterling was the last person to see Clyde alive, save the killer, at the time of the actual murder, he was already back inside the bar singing a duet with Kacey Jo Maynard. Leila wondered if anyone at the bar that night had filmed it. She would have to ask around, as it wasn’t unheard of for

Harrison the news reporter repeated himself as he was making sure he got the attention of whoever was tuning in this late morning. He turned the volume up 3 knots even though he could hear it perfectly fine. — He acquired excellent hearing when he triggered his curse. “FORT WARRON, OR— A triple homicide investigation is underway after three unidentified late teens to early 20’s female bodies washed up on the Clark Riverbanks 2 miles outside of town.” Harrison shakily swallows as he flips to the other piece of paper before continuing. Kol was shocked to hear what he was saying. He poured himself a glass of scotch that was right beside him on his makeshift alcohol bar that stood against the wa

The Rejected Omega: Lunawolf

The Rejected Omega: Lunawolf

My eyes were locked on the red pool spreading across the marble, creeping toward the hem of my violet silk gown. "Cake?" I whispered, my voice trembling. "You just murdered a councilman in cold blood , and you’re thinking about dessert?" Calhoun didn't answer with words. Instead, he grabbed my hand. His grip was warm, solid, and terrifyingly steady for a man who had just ended a life. He began to lead me toward the side exit, stepping over the blood as if it were a puddle of rainwater.

My Luna, My Son, My Regret

My Luna, My Son, My Regret

He shook his head, moving his eyes across the furniture as if only now realizing what a mess it really was. "We are fine, Alpha. My... wife did not handle Eloise's return quite well." He reasoned then pulled a couple of mugs from the cupboard above him. Even that had a missing door. "Would you like some coffee before you both return?" He asked, changing the subject. "Coffee wouldn't solve the situation at hand, John." John cut his eyes to me. "Situation?" I cocked my brow, assessing his reaction. "There had been murders in your area. Ten, to be precise. Two were found at the pack house.” I stated.

Love the story, writing was intense and keeps the storyline moving. I just would have like to have seen the family reunion. Overall amazing writing but be ready for some intense scenes that can trigger some of you. Happy reading!

Needs a little editing, but still really interesting. The author has a way of storytelling that helps you fully immerse yourself in the story. The FMC is the typical weak to strong, but the story has tons of potential. I hope the writer doesn't intend to rely on clichés/tropes.

Her thirst for vengeance

Her thirst for vengeance

“Did you attempt to frame Ivonne to weaken the Alpha?” “NO!” she screams so loud it echoes. “I came to gather proof of his crimes because he—because—because he murdered my cousin Chelsea! And I thought… I thought if I could expose him… I could make him pay—BUT I NEVER HURT ANYONE!” The crowd erupts again. “Her cousin was that mate—?” “Another Murder?” “Hector truly killed her—?” “That’s not part of the case—” Hector growls so low it rattles my bones. “Chelsea’s death was investigated and closed"
