I’ve been so worried.” Leora blinks fast. “The things I’ve been through, Cara, will make your head spin. There are so many zombies out here, it’s terrifying, but I met a girl, Tabby, in our neighboring Pack, and she’s immune to them. Can you believe that?” She’s talking so fast, smiling and crying. “It’s so good to be home.” She throws herself into Cara’s arms again.

She laughed and touched his arm again, stealing his attention away from me. I sighed. Jake followed my line of sight, “Freddy’s got a knack for drawing attention. Freddy didn’t look like she’d had more than one drink the night before, while Gemma’s head felt like it was about to explode. “Want to go for a jog with me?” Freddy asked, cheerful as ever. Gemma stared at her in mock horror. “Excuse me? Me—go jogging?” She grinned and held up one leg. “Um, my leg. I don’t run. And if I do, you’d better run faster, because something is chasing me. With those legs,”—she pointed at Freddy’s—“you’d leave me in the dust.” Freddy laughed. “If there’s a zombie outbreak, you think I’m tripping you?”

She screamed, making list of the people flinch and younger children cry in fright. "But you know what, I will leave and you will never see me again. Of course I won't leave without a gift for your unborn child, whether male or female, the child shall not experience the feeling of full wolf transformation. You can try to break the curse but you will fail and you will also beg to find me and you will also fail. Are you serious?” my boss asked in a worried tone. “Hm,” Carson replied. “Let's play then,” my boss said. I held back my laughter as I listened to their conversation. My boss didn't know he had fallen into Carson's trap. “Let's have a bet. Who fills all these fields first, then he will be the winner and if you lose, then you have to do whatever I say,” Carson said.

There wasn’t going to be a trail to follow since that traitorous Xaviar had flown off with her. I had barely finished skimming over the short document when Fredrick entered, his expression one of defeat. Miriam’s voice was still on a loop in my mind. I refused to give up hope, though the lack of leads was frustrating. Fredrick’s face told me that whatever I had remembered from Miriam’s book was offering more frustration. I looked at him and waited. “Aro.” He started. “The seer is dead.”

Now leave” He said as he opened the back door. I stare at him for one last time before grabbing Josh’s hand and we all finally starts running, running away from the monster who had kept us there for years. We were free. Free from him. We are finally free. Maybe some dreams do come true. “Am hungry” Josh said after we finally stopped for what seems like hours.

Somehow, Freddy wasn’t that angry, he laughed quietly, it wasn’t a joyous laugh, from the look in his eyes, it was pure evil laughter. “You’re really a strong one for being conscious after receiving Hatake’s nab, it was meant to take you out instantly, but I’m happy you’re still conscious to hear me,” Freddy started, he took out another marijuana from his inner jacket pocket and lighted it up before he continued.
