Denying My Son's Guilt
My voice was clearly audible in the video: “Happy birthday, my sweet Cooper.”
Every photo, every video, told the same story:
Cooper had always been a cat.
A spoiled, world-traveling, ridiculously famous Bengal cat.
The jury’s shock curdled into outrage.
“They accused a cat of rape?”
“This is absurd!”
“What an insult to our intelligence!”
The gallery began to stir.
But this time, the anger wasn’t directed at me. It was aimed at Tiffany and Brenda.
“It was a setup!”
“They were lying!”
“Accusing a cat of a crime? Are they insane?”
