"This is private property," the leader sneered, eyeing Aurora. "Passage f*e is... everything you have." Alex didn't stop typing on his wrist. "Kael, Mia. Remove the obstacle. Efficiently." "On it," Mia stepped forward. "Look at this little doll," the leader reached for Mia. SNAP. Mia grabbed his metal finger and bent it backward until the servo-motors whined and broke. She swept his legs, slamming his face into a puddle.

That officer appeared in front of that cyborg right away and punched that cyborg in the chest. That cyborg’s face remained motionless in the face of the officer’s speedy and ferocious punch. He raised his head and looked at that officer with a hideous grin. That cyborg then raised his hand and clenched it around the officer’s neck, lifting his body high above his head. The cyborg’s eyes widened, and something that looked like lasers shot out of his eyes, burning that officer to ashes. A group of Klock’s agents knelt in a row in a quiet corner of the building a few moments later.

It was aggressive and loud—spiked shoulder pads, a mohawk made of holographic flames, and a leather jacket that said BORN TO FRAG on the back. "You can't call shotgun, Leo," Jinx said, leaning against a stack of virtual tires. She looked like a futuristic racer, wearing a suit made of white and pink carbon fiber, holding a racing helmet under her arm. "I'm the designated driver. My Agility stat gives me +20% Vehicle Handling. If you drive, we flip in the first turn."

When the nurse brought her medication, she'd scream in terror, "Jinx! Jinx! Stay away from me!" She refused to take her meds or eat. It was like she had trapped herself in the ten years when she called me a jinx. Doing this was her way of living through my torment. I watched her and felt a pang of sympathy for her. Then, I hated myself for it. No one sympathized with me back then. "Sharon! Sharon, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! You're not a jinx. I am," she cried out hysterically. "No!" she said bitterly. "It's all Mr. Reyes' fault! He lied to me! He ruined Sharon's life! Sharon, if you're seeking revenge, go after him!"

" Her large blue eyes ran over me as she chirped and I felt violated. I held Ashr's arm tightly. "I'm called Zax and I am Ashr's mate," I stated boldly and both Jordein and Briya chuckled. I furrowed my brow and Ashr reaffirmed my claim and they both quieted. Ashr went up to his easy two foot taller son and asked what he wanted from him and the boy looked puzzled. Jordein ran his fingers through his short black hair and sighed.

I stepped entirely inside his guard, grabbed the lapels of his pristine white silk suit, and drove my forehead directly into the bridge of his nose. Bone crunched. Kaelen cried out, dropping the plasma blade as blood poured down his face. I swept his legs out from under him, sending him crashing hard onto the marble. I grabbed him by the collar and began dragging his limp weight back toward the central transit hub. "Jinx! Do it!" I screamed. "I need ten seconds!" Jinx yelled back. She was entirely exposed, standing at the control pedestal on the metal platform, frantically ripping wires out of the console and splicing them together with her bare hands.

The minutes ticked by in a hazy blur as she sat there in the same spot where he left her. Destiny plays cruelly with some people while it serves happiness on the silver platter to others.
