The boss looked at his right-hand man and ordered, “Hawk, go and take a look. He balled his hands into fists, and he was ready to attack. Hawk opened the door, but he did not see Damian or Aria anywhere. He was about to shout that no one was around, but Damian held him just in time and covered his mouth. I asked, my voice barely audible over the bass and the layered sounds around us. When I didn’t get an answer right away, I glanced at Damian. His eyes were locked on the woman on the cross. They gleamed with that dark, delighted spark he only got when something truly fed his demons. You could see it if you looked close enough. The way his pupils widened. The subtle hitch in his breathing. I wouldn’t have been surprised if he was already hard. “Yeah,” he finally replied, never taking his gaze off her. Damian couldn't sit and wait for a miracle to come. He couldn't concentrate on his work after thinking about how Taggart would marry Pearl without resistance. Just as the two successfully placed Damien on the bed, Mr. Hook received a phone call. He pulled out his phone from his pocket to see who was calling and he saw that it was wife, so he quietly excused himself and went outside to answer the urgent call.
