“So, are you going to introduce yourself one last time before we change your identity and send you off to Italy?” For the first time, he smiled. It wasn’t wide, not smug—just small, tired, like a man letting out a secret he’d been holding too tightly. He took the glass. “My name is Damian.” I repeated it under my breath, tasting it. “Damian.” I tilted my head, studying him the way I might study a chess piece before deciding where it fit on the board. “And who, Damian, is the person that has it out for Harvest Bloom?”

He just let the newcomer linger in uncertainty before finally flipping on his bike’s headlight. The man flinched and quickly shielded his eyes. “You were the one who contacted me?” He asked. “Detective Davies?” Damian’s asked calmly.. A second of silence then.. “Yeah. You said you had something for me.” Damian smirked in the dark. “Oh, I do.” He leaned forward, resting his arms on the handlebars. “I know where the Hellfangs are meeting tonight”

"Okay, I'll be there now." Damian hung up the phone, turned around and walked quickly to the door. "Where are you going?" asked Yara, standing up. Damian didn't answer. He kept walking without even turning around. "Damian!" Yara called again, but he still didn't respond. Yara clenched her fists. "Damn," she muttered. *** Damian arrived at the location Hugo had mentioned-an empty house on the outskirts of town. Hugo was waiting outside, smoking an awkward cigarette.

She poked and flipped the slices while she thought about what had happened over the past few days. Damien wanted to give her some space; to let her think things out without him sitting there, watching her, making her paranoid that he might be listening in on her thoughts. He purposefully shut out her presence, completely blocking out any feelings and thoughts that she might inadvertently send his way. He walked over to the spot that she had danced in and found the sweet spot for the sound pouring out of the system. He sat down and let the waves and notes of that wonderful music flow around him. He thought back to when this music was new, bringing up with it all those memories of that time. T

Raven sat at the end of the table, she looked at the head of the table and there he was the man from last night. That's when Raven realized that all the staff had put on make-up and perfume to impress him and their hair was nicely done. Yet she Raven on the other hand was dirty from the ingredients and cooking. She was sweating and her hair was in a messy ponytail. She snapped out of it and waited for the dinner to begin, she was proud of the food that she had made. "Evening, as some of you know and some of you don't, my name is Damien. I'm twenty-seven years old and I am the owner of this place."

(that man is loud) “We all know Damian. Sorry man, but Sullen and angry is Damian’s usual self, if anything he’s been more pleasant the last two days,” Spooky smirks. Chuckles and nods of ascent roll through the crowd, I expect Damian to react, but he is still holding my hand that is on his and gazing at me with affection, a slight nod to Spooky is the only reaction from him. “He did have a rough time sleeping and was restless, but he is often restless on missions. So, I can’t say anything definitively.”

**** Damien, a young man with jet-black hair and bright blue eyes, sat at his desk and thought about what one of his friends had said. “Are you still happy to date a lot of women without getting married to any of them? Come on. You're already 27th. You should find your mate, someone to join you as an Alpha!” “Shit! Why do I still hear those words in my head!” Damien cried out. His office space felt tight and stifling. The air trapped inside it was no longer a breath of fresh air for his tired mind and soul. Damien was so desperate for peace that he left the office momentarily to get some fresh air outside.
