Ruby’s POV The man claiming to be my brother walked closer. I stayed still as I warily watched him approach me. I didn't know how to feel. Ariana leaned toward Lilac, but her whisper was loud enough for all of us to hear. “Oh my God, Jonas really wasn’t lying. Look at them. They’re the spitting image of each other.” I didn’t react. I just watched him. Damien turned to Ariana. “You can call me Damien,” he said. “Jonas is my middle name. I had to tell you it was my first name to hide my true identity. I didn’t want anyone outside of Ruby and Dominic knowing I was in the U.S.”

She paused at two names:Wyatt and Damian. Wyatt was a surgeon, but he knew Marvin. It wouldn't be safe to involve him. “I'll call Damian. He studied medicine and did an internship in his family's hospital. Plus, he's unaware of who Marvin is,"Renee told Sarah. Dialing Damian’s number, Renee remembered that he had once blacklisted her, but it appeared that he had now removed her from the list, giving her a chance to reach him.

Anyway, because of who I am, my parents are on me to get married so this all works out, you see it fate.” He says with a grin on his face but I am not finding any of this funny. “What do you mean because of who you are?” I ask him. “Oh yeah, I forgot, we didn't really get into the get to know you part that night. My name is Damian Renfir, son of Alpha Lucas Renfir and Luna Selene Renfir and heir to the Crescent Moon Pack.” He says.

He summoned Lucien to his office. He walked in, scanning both of us. His gaze stopped at me and he narrowed his eyes “Is everything okay? Have you been crying?” He asked. He turned to Damian “What did you do to her?” He asked, his eyes blazing with fury. “Lucien please calm down, Damian has something important to tell you” I pleaded. He pulled out a seat and sat down “Okay?” He asked. Damian fumbled with his fingers “My mother isn't dead” He said, Lucien’s gaze widened.

"You tried." The man beside Ava suddenly stepped forward. "Don't believe him." Damon pointed his gun at him. "Tell her the truth." "Tell her who you really are." Ava looked at the man beside her. His expression remained calm. Too calm. "What is your name?" He hesitated. Then said, "Damien." Ava shook her head. "Your full name." Silence. Damon answered for him. "Damien Blackwood." He looked at Ava. "And I'm his twin."

I repeated looking at her as I processed which she had said. “Damon named her,” Evelyn said, glancing down at the baby. “He chose Isla, short and sweet, easy on the tongue. I believe it suits her. Do you want to look at her?” I swallowed hard, the weight of the name settling over me. Isla. A name that felt so small and fragile, much like the baby it belonged to. But I knew looking at her was going to make me weaken and I was not going to be able to protect her.
