I needed to feed my monsters or there would be consequences. “Hi, handsome. Would you like some company?” I turned and saw an attractive blonde standing next to me. Perfect. I thought to myself. She wasn’t my usual but she would do. So I started my game again. Within thirty minutes she was walking out the door with me. We walked over to my car and I held the door as she climbed in. Damien squinted his eyes, his teeth bared, and his nose twitched, which often happened when he was furious. "By whom?" His voice was cold, likewise his eyes. “Surprise me.” Flora smiled mischievously. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” The microwave gave a ping and Damien disappeared into the kitchen. He emerged with a bowl of sweet-smelling popcorn. He settled back onto the sofa, this time with the popcorn nestled between them on the coffee table. Flora flipped through more movies, stopping on a horror movie. “This looks interesting,” she said, handing Damien the remote to reach for the bowls of chips. He scanned the synopsis. “A demonic possession caused by a workplace hex? Sounds cheesy.”

A helicopter buzzed overhead, the searchlight crawling over the creek bed, and off in the distance, Halley could hear hounds as dozens of flashlights searched for Halley. “Miss Monroe, we’re going to have to take you down to the sheriff’s station to get a report, but you’re not in any trouble. I have the evidence and enough witness statements to let me know what this Halley Night girl was up to. He went down hard. “Damian!” Luna screamed. The queen voice was gone. Just Luna. Terrified girl.
