Damien avoided my gaze, his hand drifting to his side. “Nothing for you to worry about. I’ll be fine. It’s normal for such… casualties to happen.”
“Still,” I frowned. “I’m worried about it happening frequently. Your health matters. To you, and to Leo.”
Damien’s eyes softened, his gaze meeting mine. “I see.”
I stood quietly, the air awkward, before Damien spoke again.
