Elora glanced between them, the warmth of the cabin igniting a flicker of hope within her. “What do we do now? How do we fortify our defenses?”
George looked thoughtful for a moment, then replied, "We’ll scout the perimeter, make sure the windows and doors can be barricaded if necessary, and gather any resources we may need. But most importantly, we need to be a team. Keep watch, share the load, and look out for one another.”
The weight of the plan settled in Elora’s chest. “I don’t know if I’ll be of much help,” she admitted.
