The drone didn't try to break the glass anymore. Instead, it attached a giant magnetic cable to our sub. Another drone did the same on the other side. They began to pull us toward a dark opening at the bottom of the vault.

“She’s already in custody. We have teams securing every known Architect site. The drones are being neutralized as we speak.” I look toward the bunkers. Medics are helping pups and elders out. Tabitha stands among them, waving frantically when she spots me. Laura supports an injured elder nearby. The packs — Revenant and Rowena’s old blood — watch the humans warily but don’t resist.
