“It has,” he said, taking a seat across from me. His eyes swept over me, like he was scanning me for weakness. “You look worse than the last time.”
I rolled my eyes. “And you look like you still talk too much.”
He laughed. “I heard about Nova. You bought it. Always making bold moves. But tell me… was it just business, or was it because of her?”
