“I’ve been digging.” “And?” Damien leaned forward. “There are names appearing that shouldn’t exist anymore.” Luna’s expression darkened. She’d reached the same conclusion. “How many?” “More than I expected.” Not good at all. Because Phantom had spent years dismantling certain organizations, destroying them completely or so she’d believed. Damien slid a tablet across the table. “Take a look.” Luna examined the files. Financial records., shell corporation, encrypted communications. Everything connected and everything hidden. And at the center— One familiar symbol. A black crown. Luna froze, not visibly, but internally. Because she recognized it immediately.

Mishka replied. “Why don’t you wait for Christian in his cabin? He is furious right now and you might become the next victim of his anger.” Danny said in a concerned tone and Mishka extended her hand in his direction with a smirk on her face. “I want your phone,” Mishka said and Danny looked at her confused but retrieved his mobile from his blue Jeans, and unlocking it, he placed it on her palm without touching her skin. Mishka quickly typed something on G****e and gave his phone back to him.

Catrina hissed, “It’s Alpha!” “I don’t understand what you’re talking about. You keep mentioning Luna, Alpha, and me being human. What is all this even supposed to mean?” I replied. As I spoke, my hair shifted, revealing my face. Dane’s eyes narrowed with anger, his expression growing dark just as it had before, but this time he wasn’t pleased. He pulled my hair to the other side, and I tried to cover my eye, but he lifted my chin with his finger. “Who did this?” he growled, and his chest rumbled, startling me.

“The biggest music record label CEO, popularly known as CEO Dante, is currently under investigation by the board of directors for fraud and embezzlement of company funds.” I froze for a minute, staring at the television in disbelief. My eyes widened as I saw his face on the screen. Dante, in a crisp black suit, walking out of his office building, with cameras flashing all around him. He didn’t speak, or even attempt to answer the reporters screaming questions at him. He just walked straight ahead with that stern unapproachable look on his face.

He growled, “Dammit! I’m sorry. Hang on a second.” The phone stopped ringing. “It might be an emergency. My friends only repeat call me when…” Leaving her dripping and aching, Danny crossed to the phone, his pants around his ankles. It wasn’t a graceful transition. He pulled out the phone and it rang in his hands. Three calls? He didn’t recognize the number. It could have been one of his packmates using someone else’s phone, but why? It couldn’t be good. He was curious and annoyed. “Hello?”

I think it was only Raven who could take his brute strength. And, that was saying something considering Danny had gotten stronger in the last couple of years. Eric smiled as Danny swiped the pictures and in one of them, an eleven-year-old boy was holding him from behind. “Who is this?” Eric asked. “He is one of your angry uncles,” Danny smiled. “Uncle Daniel,” He swiped to the next pictures and unfamiliar faces appeared on the screen, which Eric had never seen before.
