My hands were shaking. The crowd had pulled itself into a wide ring of horrified stillness and in the center of it stood Damien. Dark suit. Hands loose at his sides. Not a single thing about him disturbed. His eyes found mine through the space between us. Red. Both of them. Fully. Not a flash, not a trick of the strobe, not something I could file under exhaustion or imagination or anything rational at all. Deep red and burning and so ancient that looking directly into them felt like looking at something that existed before the concept of looking existed.

She squealed as she successfully pulled her leg out, "Now, to face the enemy and get my man!" Fuck! Daniel closed and opened his eyes to ensure that he wasn't dreaming. Red was actually here and he didn't know what to feel. “How long has this been going on Fen!” Fen lets out a guttural scream of pain. Panic has my eyes darting to Roman and I feel my blood pound in my ear the moment my gaze greets him. His eyes….
