I turned to see a guy walking towards me, he had a fine look and was of moderate height. "Hi," he said smiling at me. "Hi" I answered as I managed to smile back. "Can I join you for work?" he asked. I just shuddered because, though I was tired and all, I could use a little chitchat. After some time I got to know his name was Jake and a final year student. he said he liked my personality and wondered if we could go out on a date. I was about replying him when I felt someone's hand wrapped around my waist and when I turned to see who it was, it was Damian.

“Between us, who exactly is the normal one?” Laughter drifted softly through the air, blending with the presence of several women dressed in delicate, revealing lingerie that added a subtle undercurrent of sensuality to the atmosphere. “Haha… don’t you like what you see? Come, let’s sit,” Damian said. When they reached the couch, Calvin’s gaze suddenly locked onto Anthony. Surprise flickered faintly across his sharp features, quickly buried beneath composure. “Calvin and Simon, this is Anthony and Anderson—my high school friends. And these are Owen and Jake, my childhood buddies. These two here are my university brothers,” Damian introduced.

I don't know yet. Damien sure has a lot of secrets though.

"Damien Moretti and Lady Natalia St Dumas." The applause that followed drowned my confusion as the spotlight flashed on Damien and his so called business partner.

But the moment I mentioned it, Damien looked completely lost. “You’re too cool not to know things like this, Damien,” I teased, leaning back on the dining chair with my brow raised. He tilted his head slightly, that faint smirk tugging at his lips. “I don’t watch movies,” he said flatly. “Just news broadcasts and sports highlights. So forgive me if I don’t know who Tyler Penny is.” I froze for a second, then burst into laughter so hard my eyes watered. “It’s Tyler Perry, Damien!” I managed between laughs, clutching my stomach. “Oh, never mind. That’s why you have me to educate you on things beyond the stock market and breaking news.”

They spoke on the call for less than ten minutes and after dropping the call, he walked out of the office. Damian walked into his hotel room from the balcony with a stick of cigarette between his lips. He wore a black leather short that exposed a bit of his Calvin Klein boxers. His upper body was left exposed, making his tattoo visible enough under the blue background light. He walked over to a cushion chair and sat, flipping his laptop open and turning it on. He typed in some numbers with his right hand, while his left hand held a glass of alcohol. He dropped his glass of the table and picked up the laptop, leaning back comfortably on the chair.

Beta Maddox strode out, his eyes the same diamond grey as Zena’s except colder, harder. Wearing a charcoal grey uniform, Maddox stood out amongst the other men with his huge shoulders and tattoos. “State your business,” he barked. Standing tall I ignored the Warriors and replied, “Alpha Cillian of the Shadowlands, here to speak only to Alpha Alexander.” /So much for anonymity and sneaking./ Vez grumbled. As annoyance at my plan failing threatened to burn my cheeks with crimson I saw Maddox tilt his head. He was receiving a mindlink.

After about two minutes of waiting, Damian emerges with Blue denim jeans and a tight fighting black shirt, followed by Tommy in black jeans and a baggy grey shirt. "Well don't you look just ravishing", Damian comments with a smirk and a wink. Not to bad yourself I want to reply but I think his ego is big enough at the moment, By now I've gotten used to his flirtations and think I might give him a taste of his own medicine.

It was war smelling the mate bond. I thought the bond was dead. “You smell like power now,” he growled. “Like storms and the moonlight. What really happened to you?” I stood tall, refusing to hide my body. “I survived. I was what you tried to kill.” Damon’s jaw dropped. For the first time, I felt pain appear right in his eyebrows. “I was wrong, Annie. Cassandra lied to me. I only allowed pride and fear to make me throw away the best thing in my life… my coming Luna.”

I didn't know what I was expecting but when Dominic opened the laptop and showed me a mug shot, my eyes widened. He looked to be in his late twenties, sporting a dark buzz cut and a neatly trimmed beard. He had a black eyebrow piercing and I could see the tattoos sneaking up his neck stopping just below his jawline. Lucas was smirking with his head tilted up slightly, almost mockingly and that alone told me the man feared no one. "Holy shit, he's fine." I blurted without thinking. The laptop was slammed closed and I jumped. Yurik let out a loud laugh and shook his head.
