“Thanks, Danny boo." Danny boo?

I stood at the entrance of the Silver Claw Pack hospital, the cold wind cutting through me. A black pickup truck slowly pulled up in front of me, the bed filled with freshly picked herbs, the scent of morning dew still clinging to them. The door opened gently, and instead of the driver, it was Danny himself. He stepped out of the truck, walking slowly with a silver cane in hand, his steps steady and strong, the cane tapping rhythmically against the ground. He didn’t ask me to get into the car, but instead, he walked towards me.

I whispered. His little head popped up, "I know auntie but you know things will be better. I mean I'm not suppose to tell you anything but Athea told me to tell you to follow your heart." Danny said, scrunching his little face up. "She said you will know what is right to do." Danny said, looking up at me. I smiled down at him, "You must speak with Athea often." I replied. "I do! She is really nice and she is always watching no matter how terrible things are." Danny replied. "She is really nice. I hope to see her again sometime." I said. "You will soon. The other alphas are coming though." Danny said sitting up. I wanted to ask what he meant by I'll be seeing Athea soon. "We are going to go p

he snarled in jealousy, his eyes swirling with different colours as he kept his wolf at bay. “Anyway” I continued, “he was a rouge, his name was Danny. He was a few years older than me, but I liked him. I went out on like one date before things got ugly. It turns out he was wanted by another pack; Tyree Moon pack. Danny apparently had killed the Luna of the pack”.

Danny asked nonchalantly. “Lala Preston.”

Holding the rock like that took much more effort than throwing it with her magic. Dannie had become a master at throwing pebbles and rocks, thanks to the hours she spent shooting them at the construction crew repairing the fountain. Lee and her dad weren’t amused, even if it was for the greater good. He had to pay them extra to stay and finish the job. Dannie swore werewolves had no sense of humor. Kandrea thought it was funny. She also learned her co-worker was a major sci-fi geek and kept feeding Dannie lines from Star Wars.

he muttered his last comment to himself. Zach went downstairs to wait for Danny. They had this habit of riding to school together. Plus, Danny didn't have a car. Zach always told him to go ahead and take one of his. He and Jacob had three cars each, sort of the same ones to be exact. A brand new black Chevy 4x4, a 1968 yellow and black Mustang, and a silver and red Hayabusa. But Danny said he would rather be the passenger, less work on his part.

Her face filled with relief. “Mommy!” He shouted, running into her arms. “How did it go?” She asked, curiously. He grinned. “It was fun! Everyone stared at my bag,” he said, jumping in excitement. “So, who was that boy you were laughing with? Rose asked. “That’s Danny. He admired my bag, and he watches Spider-Man too.” “I’m happy you loved it,” Rose said, excited and relieved. “We also went to the playground, and I used the swings,” Tyler said, turning back to admire the playground before they left.

I said. Danny clapped me on the back, his expression serious. "Be careful, Lila," he said. "We don't know what we're up against." I smiled, feeling a surge of adrenaline. "Don't worry, Danny," I said. "I've got this." As I walked alongside Danny, our footsteps echoed through the forest. We were on patrol, checking the pack's borders for any signs of trouble. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow over the trees.
