"I know you. I know how lonely you get in this big house."
This woman was more desperate than I thought.
"Vanessa, leave," Damian’s voice was deep, low, and laced with warning.
"You used to love my company," she murmured.
You can't just pretend it never happened."
I took a tiny step forward, my eyes locking onto the gap in the door. I wanted to hear Damien's reply, I pulled the gap a little more open.
