He stood on the crest of the hill, his shadowy form swaying in the freezing wind. He returned his gaze to the Three Elders, emotionless as if he were looking at corpses. "What's the matter?" Dryly, the First Elder laughed. "Nothing, you should be on your way." Rage drew a dagger and turned to face the three. "What exactly do you mean?" The Second Elder shook his head. He stepped back and inquired hesitantly. Rage remained silent. He unsheathed his dual daggers with a bang. His aura erupted, the deadly intent colliding with the frigid wind.

His red eyes, glaring at her, glowed with so much hate that it was almost tangible, and his lips were pulled into a nasty scowl. “I dare you. I dare you to say that again.” He forged a dagger and held it to her throat. The blade pressed her skin, drawing blood. Layla didn’t flinch. She stared at him with a proud smirk on her lips and her face full of amusement. “You. Are. Weak.”
